Didn't see much on yesterday's walk just the normal bird life.
We didn't get any of that rain that was predicted...next time ...maybe.
Keep safe.

One for Terry...https://www.pv-magazine.com/2022/09/05/ ... alization/
The usual "coin size battery in lab tests" stuff, might power a watch but a very long way to go to power an EV. I love the way they tie Toyota's investment into cell production into the article, makes it sound like they are going to produce these things, as far as I understand it they are interested in lithium aluminium and lithium titanate which the latter they are already using in their domestic market vehicle to field test the chemistry.
I loved this bit "massachusetts-based startup announced a major breakthrough when it achieved a capacity retention rate of 97.3% after 675 cycles for its 40 Amp-hour (Ah) solid-state product at room temperature."
Shows how much research these people do when they try to sound sensational results, 675 cycles and 97,3% capacity retention in a lab test situation doesn't sound particularly sensational when compared to the LYP cells we use at the moment that still have 100% of their advertised capacity after more than 10 yrs in a 24/7 house battery use pattern at real life Australian temperature fluctuations, or LTO (lithium titanate) with 20,000 cycles and retaining much the same capacity.
As the old saying goes, never let facts influence a good beat up news article

Re: Good morning daily
Late morning all.
Spent the day on the side of the road trying to get bus going.
It petered out. Changed two fuel filters, primed and primed. Removed the diesel heater fuel connection. Rang Terry for some ideas. Cracked all the injector lines and fuel return line.
Sort of got it going and then some more. Drove another 70k's with partial engine stalls. Got into town and filled the tank with fresh fuel. Not sure, but I think I may have got some bad fuel. I'll know in the next drive. Otherwise it might have a air leak.

How did you go Jon?
Does that motor have the mechanical lift pump that you can use to pump fuel for bleeding?

No it doesn't. I have one at home that I was going to fit a while back. Will be on the list when I get home. I'll stay here tomorrow and head to Trentham in the arvo. Hoping it will go ok.

Good morning, everyone.
Was one of those days that looked like rain...but didn't
I seen two- and a-bit wallabies yesterday, and the normal bird life...the tom tit males are in full colour.
Took some of the cover off the motorhome and drilled out 4 pop riverts from the original solar panel, I will do the other side when I have someone with me...too far to fall by oneself
Keep dry.
Bernie.
