Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!
Next year is going to be Mustangs versus Camaros. And anything that fits the chassis if they can find a manufacturer that's interested. But I think it's, good luck with that.
Cheers

Wandered a tad from the original “Bathurst 500” concept:
Street cars the average family could buy in Australia. (Minimum of 500 sales to qualify… Cortina 500 anyone?)
The only concession to racing conditions was that cross-ply tyres could be replaced with radials.
Even had to use the toolkit provided to change wheels!

We have another trip to Harvey Bay today more dr visits for Robyn.
Good morning everyone. All that heavy rain missed us here.
We had to be content with intermittent drizzle. Apart from cooking the bacon and eggs for breakfast, I did nothing but watch the big race. Dunno what the plan for today is yet.
I hope Robyn is OK Bob. Safe travels everybody.

Hi all,
Glad everyone is home safely. I'm busy packing the 5'er today and off in the morning to Bingara, I enter on Thursday morning. Had to give away some frozen food last night as no more will fit in the 5'ers freezer nor the small 12v one.
Will stay at "Beardy Creek" heritage park, 9k north of Glen Innes. Proberly stay there for two nights then straight down to Bingara. Most likely others will be there.
Barry Edwards blew the motor on his 2010 4 cylinder BT50, could not get another motor anywhere so bought a later model with all the bells and whistles and scrap the old one. So he will tow his van in there tomorrow [vollunter bus driver for rally] as he then has to go to Tamworth to help bring the hire busses back. Lance Trestrail is at Gravesend he will go in tomorrow [bus driver].
Cloudy weather here but he says no rain and will clear up this arvo. Can't wait to get on the road again.
At Bingara I will be putting my lovely 5'er and IVECO tug on the market.
The 5'er is 10 years old I bought it in 2016 is 29' and what is called "with an office".
The IVECO is 6 years old and done 95,000 kl, If you hear of anyone interested the price is $160,000 for the combined unit, must go together as there is $10K worth of hitch on the back of the ute.
After Bingara I plan to travel the length of the Murray River as a swan song for the 5'er and to catch up with friends at Mannum.
Suns has just come out.

Did Gizzy win Dot ??
Bernie
And a bloke called Tander too.
I'm glad that Holden got their swansong.
Yes, congratulations to Tander and SVG, and to Mostert and Coulthard for their second place position pushing SVG to the very end .... and congrates to Waters and Moffat for their third place achievement, it couldn't have been easy driving a car at 11/10th when the front ride height had been dropped and he had no previous practice with it set that way .....
The real unsung heros are the people behind the scenes, building engines that can handle that sort of punishment for that long without dropping every thing out on the road. Those engines ran to their absolute limits for a lot of the race, not all the trans axles held up to the task, but no motors failed for what was really a sprint race from the start.
