Just had an interesting conversation with my cardiologist and the manufacturer of my device. It is advisable not to be any where near an electric car whilst it is charging due to E.M.F.(Electro Magnetic Fields) This is more risky when on the high charge rate and the cardiologist says it's a very high risk to me due to my broken wires connected to the heart that act an aerials. So electric cars are not suitable for me.....Bugger

Seems the jury is still out on that one Peter.so it seems it might be a generic warning covering both the charger and the implant manufacturers butts ....

Terry, you are right with the generic warning from the manufactures, I have a long list of things I can't do and things I shouldn't do. If I was to follow the rules I would be skinny from not eating and I can't have that. I stay well away from modern cars with the bonnet up and the motor running, Tv transmitters, mobile towers, power switching terminals and Rita when she is in a bad mood. One must keep going so caution is the rule.

Dunno why he tried to hide the fact. He would have got a lot less flak about it. I could never wear my you beaut Bluetooth hearing aids in any of those areas either, the white noise used to get a bit over the top.

Don't get this two way battery bumf. Ok if you have solar at home, you can charge the car, lets say you are home on Sunday, go to work like most people Monday to Friday. BUT, if you use the car battery to power the house overnight you don't have enough left to go to work on Monday, so you have to take the wifes petrol car ? I would get it if solar worked at night, could be recharged after sleepy byes but that aint the case ? Something does not add up here ?

Peter, you are correct. There have been a few good points put up over the years of the long term effects of EMF.

Bill, I follow your line of thinking. But I suspect it's a bit like ' You let us use the stored energy in your EV or home battery system, for not very much money' and in return ' we charge you a motza to charge it all up again, when the peak load comes off ' or something like that.

Personally I wouldn't trust any of our service providers, electricity, gas or water. None of them are totally factual with the giving of information.

David, an interesting point, steam and diesel models working on 20 volts AC at 20khz (Digital Command Control) It has been deemed safe by my pacemaker manufacture as long as I don't have wet hands, and it does bite.
