Nigel reckons some more is coming for Tassy, E and NE Vic, S NSW over the week end. Could be a bit of a monster, but he's not sure at this point in time.

When the wind returns to being off shore rather than on shore, the rain will go back out to sea. As that info thing showed, with the increase in atmospheric temperature, the moisture content it can hold increases, until it get saturated, then it falls out, just a lot more than when the air was cooler. If the wind moves it across land, that very wet air dumps a lot of rain, very quickly because the land is cooler than the ocean at the moment, once the land is warmer than the ocean, the water will be drawn up across the land mass and dumped in the ocean ...... then we enter a severe drought because so much more water can be carried at any given time, the more water that's carted away, the hotter the land gets .....

When will that be, T1?… once the land is warmer than the ocean…
It’s NOVEMBER already, it’s pi$$ing down rain here, and I’ve got the heater running!

Watching the rate the river is rising at the moment, the ocean and the river might become one and the same soon with a lot of wet feet between here and there
The only jetty along our road that isn't under water now it the one I blasted for building it so high above the water
I think the pontoon they tied up and then pegged out with posts driven into the mud is now trapped under the jetty, it it will be interesting to see which wins, the flotation of the pontoon or the depth the metal poles I rammed into mud is enough to hold it down
Starting to organise getting Brian's trailers and maybe Bruce's if he has one, up to the workshop before the road goes under. Then there are the low lying bits of the road between our house and Mannum look more and more like that will end up cut, so we are planning to do a drive around the back road from our place to the Sedan Rd and see if that is viable and not going to end up cut off as well ..... might need to move to the workshop .... or get Brian or Bruce to ferry us across the flooded parts

Re: Whats with this weather ????
This is last Friday 28/10/22
These size rocks were used to build the wall and two more were rolled into the waters edge when the wall went under water The original rock wall was against the now dead looking tree in the water. The two rocks rolled down after the wall went under water are roughly halfway between the dead looking tree and the edge of the water, roughly in line with the pallet that can be seen floating in the reeds The jetty I built for the next door neighbour. The second set of legs ( none where the jetty goes under water) I was standing at the edge of the water when I built it This area is normally all grass and the water normally starts out deep in the reeds This jetty was started about 2 weeks ago, the start of it was right up on the grass bank
I'll take more photos if I get home in time tonight, that newly built jetty is now under water

who designed and built that jetty??? It doesn't even reach the bank. Oh, I get it, someone stole that section.

Not someone, something, the rising river

The houses with the floating platform jetties and walkways pivoting from the bank, now have water between the walkway and where the bank begins, so they can't actually use them
