Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

At $100 an hour, that's only 3 days work.

3 days to fault find and fix a three year problem that no-one else could fix is not unreasonable.

Peter, what part was it? do you know?

Dot, if you haven't noticed, it's about to rain at your place.

"tanks" here---
What a day was yesterday!!
My visit to the GP ended up with me having to go to hospital for an ECG. My BP which is usually around 110/70 was elevated to 185/95, possible due to the pain from my spine reflecting an increase that needed attention. I was all plugged in to the many cables when the in-house sirens sounded, and the loudspeaker was telling everyone "Emergency--stand by for instructions" several times while the siren repeated its blasts. The next instruction was "EVACUATE NOW ---EVACUATE NOW" and I was quickly unplugged and wheeled outside to the emergency assembly area where a head count was performed. It was then that I found out that I only had one head and was counted in with the other patients.
About now - the little red fire truck arrived, followed by the big red fire truck and two police cars to direct traffic. Now for those who know Dysart, there could be 5 cars drive past the hospital at 4 pm in the afternoon. The big red fire truck appears to have attracted half the town that drive cars who just had to come and have a look.
The All Clear was sounded and another head count was made to ensure that none of the patients had evaporated. I was wheeled back inside and plugged in to all of the cables again for another attempt to find out if my heart was still working.
I can assure you that Friday afternoon was a lot more exciting than watching the Wheelie Bin truck on a Thursday morning.
Keith.

I plan to have another birthday next year.

Peter, I just prepared a big reply to your post about costs and then it evaporated. '
The short versus is - it sucks that you had to pay for their learning experience. I hope that your next vehicle is less 'service needy'.

Tanks, you are going to have to find another way to get some excitement into your Friday arvo's. I hope that had a satisfactory result. :D
Cheers

Wow, Tanks.

Did the wheelie bin truck drive past too. That would have made it a very special Friday. Glad your going well. Hassle them big time.

btw, The pain between the shoulders blades that the chiro was treating for 5+ years miraculously disappeared after my bypass surgery. Work that one out. The chiro couldn't.

And, oh btw, he could fix my hip pain for a similar time that the osteopath and then the physio solved in 4 x 30 minutes sessions.

Tanks I hope you didn't take the order of "EVACUATE" to seriously: lol: So what was the outcome?
Jd yes the weather map was spot on, a few times I thought the power transformer out the front or a tree had been hit by the lightening was so loud but all ok. Things have settled down a bit now and most of the water has soaked in. Tosy the dog was terrified of it all but I took her outside and got her chasing the boom boom noise so now she is running around chasing it, job done and she is now asleep in her bed  Take care everyone
