Armour plated

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Armour plated

Bought a couple of CR2032 (dollar coin) batteries today.
Label around the batteries says “CHILD RESISTANT”…
Turns out it is also “Strong Male with Pocketknife Resistant” !!!

:? Ummm...... who had the pocket knife Ray? ;)
The safety blade cutter gets the covering off, just be real careful not to cut near the positive end, touch the blade between the positive button and the negative outer shell .... and the sharp tip of the blade is no longer there ..... hard to believe such little batteries can store that much energy

T1,
I am aware of the power potential of button batteries.
I was v. careful to attack only the negative side of the shell.

They are lithium batteries Ray, I wasn't sure if you realised just how much more instant current was available compared to the alkaline variety ..... like 10 times the instant current ..... not advisable to even joke about someone testing a 9v battery by sticking their tongue across it, a trip to a specialist tongue rebuilder to get the burnt flesh removed and the tip of the tongue reformed rather than a painful spot either side of the tongue like the old alkaline batteries did .... :o
