Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

When I had my neck nerves fried, they did it under a local, specialist charged about $500 from memory and the private hospital part was another $500 or so, lasted around 12 mths for one and 2 yrs for the other.
I met up with a person I knew as a customer when I had the workshop, he was in a different career by then, private detective, he was scoping out someone who lived a few houses away a cross the street. He told me his back had near crippled him, the specialist sent him to see a Chinese doctor who did the nerve cutting there and then in his surgery rooms, lying on the bed the doctor said, any better now, no, any better now, no, any better now, miracle, zero pain yet he could walk fine. He asked what did the other nerves he cut do, the doctor said you might find certain parts of either leg has no feeling when you touch it, you might not, it could have been a group of nerves that were all damaged and the last one was causing the most pain, but you will have no side effects, those nerves were not doing what they should for a very long time, the brain has already factored that in and has worked a way around it .....

This bloke was a big heavy built very muscular man, to see him jumping around and walking normally was truly amazing, he said he had even been able to return to dancing, after 10 yrs, the pain wasn't there any more.

So, ask around, there are some very talented doctors who work outside the system and don't charge crazy prices, and all of them speak "cash money" ;) 8-)

Bernie, My GP told me on numerous occasions to just call 000 for ambulance , that way there is no sitting around the A&E dept waiting. There will be a registrar on call and Carol should be seen and admitted for the specialist to see her, The nerve burning works on some and not on others and for varying amounts of time so if the surgeon says surgery then go for it. I had 2 lots of the burnings 1 on the neck and the lower back But took the advice of my surgeon and had the surgery ie Dynamic stabilization

My surgeon gave me the complete control of how and what I wanted done It was not until the prev treatments failed I went for the surgery. That was in 2014 and I have not had any back pain what's so ever because of the way it was done. I have rotating screws which allows me to bend and twist as I could before. I can also have the screws removed if I ever got so skinny that they poked through :) :) The reason I was recommended this surgeon was because he said If you tell me you have pain then I beleive you as pain can NOT be seen on any X/Ray. At the mo I can't find the X/ray of my nuts and bolts but to say I am pain free and can move. If I were you and Carol I would not leave the hosp without being treated like a human being in pain. Top pic is where I had the nerve burnings 2013 and the bottom (pardon the pun) is after the surgery 2014 (6 weeks prior to my head shave in WA)

No specialist at the Biggenden hospital...or doctor, the doctor from the medical centre, does the rounds each morning.and that's it.
You have to remember we don't live in a big town.
This time last year we didn't even have a doctor at the medical centre 😠

Dot, the closest hospital with Orthopod Specialist is Rockhampton or Bundaberg, and a 6 to 8 month delay in getting an appointment. This is Queensland Health we are dealing with.

I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

Dottie,
You did tell me about your nuts… & bolts 🤣 a while ago.
Next visit to my orthopaedic surgeon I asked him if it would help me.
His answer: “No-one this side of deregistration would try it on you, because the cancer has made your bones too fragile.”
☹️
Some people might benefit, others not.
Regards & God bless,
Ray
