Re: Good morning daily
Also boils down to your GP and how persuasive they are, my GP saved my life because she wasn't scared to as she put it "over service" and keep on to the people that needed a gentle push. Plus you have to stick up for your rights, refuse to be discharged if you are not feeling right. We are only living on the pension but will not ditch the private insurance no matter how much it costs. BUT the trick is to find the right Drs . You can always have chest pain then they HAVE to see you. Dam hot today so staying inside to sort more stuff. Getting sick of it.
Queen of the Banal & OT chatter and proud of it. If it offends you then tough titty titty bang bang.

We still have the Currawongs at home.
They usually disappear in September and head into the mountains.

Re: Good morning daily
I still have 2 pairs at Dysart, and the Magpies and Butcher birds are starting to visit again on a regular 4:00pm time frame, just after up to 10 white cockies have paid a visit. The many Rainbow Lauriketes still drop in for a daily swim.

I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

Good morning all.
Carol was a bit better yesterday...maybe the endone has finally kicked it. Taking her to the Doc today.
Other than the newly acquired domestic jobs, I was in the nuffin club most of yesterday
.
Keep safe and dry...

Re: Good morning daily
Good morning everyone. Its still pretty windy here, but no rain. Heading for 26° today, much the same as yesty.
We have a few Corellas visiting the birdbath and the feeder. Normally just Lorikeets and a few unwanted and unloved pigeons. Haven't heard the Stormbird for a while. There is also a local colony of Currawongs and Butcher birds but they don't come in to feed.
I hope all the sickies are getting better.
Safe travels all that are out and about. Have a top day.

Re: Good morning daily
Earlier on the in the year, we had a group of young? male Bower birds. Had never seen them before.
Although, apparently quite common in the area though.
Morning all. Big day today - trip to the airport.

With the river in flood, I wonder where the ducks are making their nests now? Saw a couple of very large mother ducks perched on a small piece of dead tree that is still above the water at the moment, we were regularly see them with their little babies paddling up the river, the current might be a bit strong for the babies now ...... even the pelicans only do the down flow paddle past, then fly back up stream for the next trip
The poor shags have run out of places to stand and dry their wings, no idea where the two families of water rats moved to, they certainly are big buggers .....

Re: Good morning daily
Good morning. Been reading the past few days comments regarding all things medical. We have always had private insurance and instead of just picking an insurer we have used a Medical Insurance broker for the past 30 odd years. No charge, they know what we want covered, including extras, and when I contact them, they sent us a couple different ones to compare to our Westfund. This year we used some of our "Flo money" and paid ahead till next December, therefor avoiding this year and 2023 price rise. Each to his own definately, but I know how quickly I was able to have my new knee & shoulder being private. After my bypass surgery I was told it was up to me when I went home as they were in no hurry to discharge. We all have to keep on keeping on as best we can. I had my bone density done a couple of weeks ago (which is excellent). The radiologist asked me if I had ever had pins inserted in a # arm? Never had any broken bones. Looked at x-ray of left radius/ulna, the arm the radial artery was taken out to use for bypass, and in the muscle was about an inch long piece of metal about needle size!. Had no idea it was there. I rang my surgeon rooms to be told he had retired and to see my cardiologist which I am doing on 10th anyway for Echo results. Really curious as it could be something that is meant to be there, or not.

Re: Good morning daily
Macca,
Any scrap metal you weren’t expecting to see would worry me.
I have three titanium reinforcing rods in legs & one arm.
There’s a bolt floating in my arm muscle which worked its way out of the rod. (Not a screw with a point.)
Radiologists point it out every time I have an Xray.
Surgeon said taking it out would risk further damage to already impaired muscles. So it stays.
However, a needle is a different kettle of poisson (“fish”, if you don’t speak French
). When (not ‘IF’) it moves, it could do serious harm.
I’d recommend consulting a surgeon for advice.
On a completely different note, Merry Christmas!
