Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!
Congratulations to me, the air con was fixed today and it was the installers fault. Pics taken by the tech guy today proves it. Specific details later. Had 1 3/4 hrs of physio today, recommended plastic surgery to release the scars from the surgeries causing so much neck pain so will ask the neck man what he thinks. Getting worse lately. Doggie sitting for 2 nights starting tomorrow. Finally tried a custard apple today, have grown them but didn't like the look of them but they do taste like a creamy custard, even Gman had some and liked it. Off to bed now, hope all you sickies are getting better, stay safe and away from water and mozzies. Goodnight everyone x Goodnight Deborah x

Well Dot, looks like you will be seeing your chiro mate soon. Hope the neck is settling down xxxx
It's so hot here that a slowish day was had. I cleared out a couple of cupboards and started to make plans for the designs of the newest library boxes. They are sitting on my verandah looking very boring, so some planning is needed to get the decorating done.
I did promise to show you the finished t-shirts. Both girls adored them. The youngest fell in love with the Christmas bear and I have been assured that she will wear it any time of the year. Versatile child!

Well don Deborah they look good, Dot glad you have your AC fixed I had to fill out a crap online form and send it in. Now we wait. Sleep well folks cheers Robert
Thanks Shirley and Robert. That's just a hangover from my teaching little kids days. I made so many shirts to wear to school and I really miss playing with sparkly stuff. The girls are very happy and that makes all the spread of sparkle through the house worth it.
Today I spent a lot of time sanding library boxes for our town. The men's shed built us three boxes (at the princely sum of $75 each thanks) and they are so rough. I reckon a monkey that had access to all the fancy tools they have, would have done a far better job. I certainly would have. Anyway a lot of sandpaper and filler for gaps was used . One door was so rough that it couldn't be opened or closed properly. We fixed all that, and got up to painting bright designs on them. Two are ready for a spray of clear gloss and the third is really in need of a lot more fiddle. I rushed through painting stripes on it, to look a bit like a licorice all sort but didn't have any painter tape. The second coat will have to be taped up and a lot more tidy, before I would like to hand it to the lucky householder who asked for one. We gave our time freely and the cost of the extra spray paint and tape is a donation from the dragon lady's business. I don't really know how the men's shed is helping others in our community, but this whole thing has left us feeling that we won't be helping them raise any more money with their regular fundraising. Yes, photos once the job is complete.
Deb,
Sorry to hear about your less than happy experience with your local Men’s Shed.
Both our local Rutherglen shed and the one in nearby Corowa would NEVER allow stuff as described out of their sheds.
Case in point: Last year local Community Christmas Decorations Committee asked for help making stars & Christmas trees to decorate Main St.
Not only did the shed donate the materials & time, but we made sure the star points & edges were rounded & sanded to eliminate risk of splinters. Trees were similarly sanded to eliminate sharp edges.
This year we made a Christmas Train with a window so children could be photographed in the driver’s cab. All sharp corners & edges were sanded round before painting.

Wow Deborah you are certainly a woman with many talents, and I agree with Ray on the finished quality of stuff coming out of their shed, I would of taken the stuff back but I am known for not being shy about complaining. If you are paying for a job then it should be done properly. Doddie sitting for the next couple of days Brian got his fill of scaring the crap out of Rosy by chasing her around the yard and jumping out at her from the bushes: lol: : lol: G mowed the lawn, cleaned the bird cages out, cut some dead branches of the dying grevillea tree, I re potted my collection of Hoyas and other plants that needed new potting mix and bigger pots. Have some peaches fall off the tree and they are so sweet smelling just wish I could taste them. Past bedtime so time to say Goodnight, everyone x Goodnight Ray x

Another day of repotting plants and painting the scruffy cement pots. Rosy dog has gone home, and Brian is asleep. Rang vets for appointment for Brians annual jabs but they are having trouble getting them, so we wait till whenever. How is your trip going NC George? Hope all the sickies are returning to better health. Off to bed now, so Goodnight, everyone x Goodnight WayneP x
