Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Gunna be a warm one in the shed today, 36+ expected in Mannum so add a few more to that to allow for the tin shed factor and ...... I don't want to think about it really

The work load is piling up faster than I can finish the jobs still here from last yr ....... and here was me in my younger days thinking about the things I could do and places I could travel when I retired

Finally discovered what was potentially the cause of my illness that started boxing day, Murray Valley Encephalitis ://www.sahealth.sa.gov.au/wps/wcm/connect/ ... prevention

Maybe having the Japanese Encephalitis vaccine helped me to some degree, but still don't feel on top of the world and still have the shakes worst than I had them before .....

The decision when to retire is yours. Just don't leave it to late to enjoy the things you want to do.

Morning from Elliott Heads.
We had and have rain through the night.
The gas water heater is playing up, the jet is not letting enough gas through 😠, I can't figure out how to remove it, I will go see about it a bit later.
As Jon said, my Dad retired at 65 and was dead at 67, I really only had two quality years camping with him and my brother . I retired in 1999.
Keep safe.
Bernie.

Bernie,
In ancient times (Before LEDs) you used to be able to buy a thing called a “pricker” (I kid you not).
It was a thing about the size of a teaspoon, pressed tin handle with a fine wire at the end. It was used to clear gas jets in lamps.
You just might be able to get one at a camping store.
Re your dad: ditto. Retired at 68, dead at 71.
That’s why I wanted to get out and ‘go see Australia’ as soon as I was well enough.
Just ticked over 75 and still looking at the grass from the green side, after 28 years of touring! 😁👍
