Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Good morning everyone. We have had a bit of light rain through the night, with a bit more to come today.
Managed to achieve nothing constructive yesterday.
Dunno what's on today's program yet. Have a top day everybody, safe travels.
Cheers

No rain at Dysart this morning so I am expecting it will be along a bit later in the day.
There is no sunshine and the temp is only 23c, waiting for the rest of the dsay to happen.

Beautifull day here at Lake Lascelles, camped overlooking the lake one stand up board rider out at present, no skiers yet but some till 2100hrs yesterday. What a great place to camp, 12 powered sites and the whole shores of the lake free camping [lake covers 16acres] boating fishing & swimming, they stock the lake annually with yellow belly and silver perch. Not as hot this morning [yesterday got to 43*].

Threatening to be another warm one today. Finally getting to the last stages of replacing the 240vac wiring in this bus. Removed all the covers that would come off around the air conditioner and as expected, it has been glued down with Sikkaflex or similar. The extension cord cabling is 1mm sq  so it has to be replaced ..... hole drilled through the steel square tubing brace the air con sits on, no grommet and it has started to cut through the outside of the cable exposing the wires inside .... yet this thing has a wiring compliance certificate :o
Tried to get the roof lining down so I could trace the cabling .... yeah, glued on as well, the cheap ply used under the fancy looking vinyl just fell to bits as expected, so the over the doorway electrical cupboard and overhead kitchen cupboard had to come out to follow the wiring ...... yet another piece of wiring master class behind there with the 240vac and 12v wiring all in the one mess ..... Today's job, try to feed the correct size cabling through to the air conditioner and down to the circuit breaker box .... still questioning why I ever started this rewire job
The interior has to be reassembled, the generator and walls around it have to go back in, the slide out BBQ and walls around that, the wall behind the inverter has to be bent up, drilled and fitted along with a removable panel in the side of the step that I had to cut out ..... then I can reinstall the inverter and circuit breaker enclosure and finally refit the fridge and the drawer under it and the entertainment cupboard above it ..... and then I can get back to the job it came in for, install the lithium battery system .......
Then I can get onto the three jobs already waiting in the yard and the ones in the workshop waiting to have their problems sorted ...... and it's only Monday :D

It's kinda scary that there are quite a few m/h's or vans out there that are just not up to the required standard.
Good luck.

Which is kinda good. Because you've got all week to finish. Imagine if it was Wednesday.

I guess my conscience wouldn't let me connect up the batteries to the inverter knowing the wiring was at risk of causing a fire or electrocuting someone ..... the fact the person who built it managed to get an electrical compliance certificate is the really worrying part, people trust that this indicates all is safe with the electrical system and this is the second job that has been no where even close to being safe, yet they both had a certificate of compliance ......

You mean you've taken it off already? You are a daredevil  I guess that's what happens when you are left on your own for too long ;)
