Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Agree that aboriginal soldiers fought in WW2, but I don’t think they were the deciding factor in defeating the Imperial Japanese Army.
I acknowledge that they still serve a valuable role in NorForce. For which I have personally congratulated & thanked representatives we came across at the Darwin WW2 gun emplacement.
It’s all the nonsense from the white aborigines that gets up my nose.
I’d be more supportive of them if they were out working to improve the lives of their brethren in the remote outback camps, rather than jumping up and down about changing the names of things.
but I don’t think they were the deciding factor in defeating the Imperial Japanese Army.
You can bomb the crap out of somewhere, but you can't claim it until you have feet on the ground. The average white Australian at that time would have lasted about as long as the Japanese in the Australian outback, for the Aboriginals, it was home turf. I doubt there were many stories about how the Aboriginals lead the Japanese round in circles till they died from dehydration, yet there are many stories about the Fuzzy Wuzzy Angels in PNG that helped the diggers, like stories about them identifying the Aussie troops by the way they tied their shoe laces .... who knows if it's true or not, but from school age we were told these stories about these heroes behind the scenes in another country, yet the in ground bigotry in those days never mentioned anything an Aboriginal soldier did to help the war effort ..... It's hard to be a hero in your own country when you are treated as a social out cast .......

I quite agree with the white folk trying to act all damaged about how some one else has been treated, yet happily ignore the fact it was fellow countrymen in the past that carried out many of these atrocities ...... the first step is to stand up and face the facts, then start doing something to right the wrongs that doesn't involve trying to be seen to be doing the "right thing" with loud voices and protest marches ......

Rant over

Morning all.

Dot. yes. You may or may not know, Nigel attended the Nigerian School of Criminal Arts and Music.
Mainly specializing in ditties and fraud. I asked how he knows so much about the weather.
Well, he said, "When detained, the only thing you can do to keep your mind occupied is to look up."

Very good Jon, the Nigerian S.C.A.M. That just about covers Nigel.
Anyway, good morning everyone. I'm doing a bit of paid work building switchboards again. Long days are hard on the feet. It's a bit of a brain test, remembering what to do.
Safe travels everybody.
Bernie, I bet you are glad that Carol is back cooking.
Cheers

That's in the daylight & you could moonlight at T1's ??? haha
