Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
decided to make a run for the block this arvo. Ran the gennie to put the air con on while driving as Brian doesn't like being too hot
G drove the little Kia up as he has been requested to see GP on Monday and will also go home to bring more stuff up here and to do the birds. Excitement this morning, stupid woman at the back with the wandering pussies, barking dogs, and complains that we are spying on her when the bus is parked near the fence. Well she out did herself by lighting a fire to burn whatever and the smoke was as thick as, I yelled out to her that it is still fire season bur she knew best, 10 mins later the fire truck turns up and they spray the fire and rake the coals till fire is out NO it wasn't me that called them, whoever it was beat me to it
She is a real doozie nutter. Quite a few weeds but just a whipper snipper job for tomorrow. A friends son is in the fire brigade so I will find out who the caller was and if the nutter gets fined?? Mozzies are out and about, Brian is asleep on my pillow and I am going to say Goodnight everyone x
Goodnight Shirley x

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Was supposedly meant to be hot today but we have had rain off and on all day and it has been cool. Brian has slept all day and is waiting for me to hit the sack. G is off to see what the GP wants to see him about tomorrow and I have the day to myself. I hope everyone is keeping warm or cool but staying safe. Off to bed now so Goodnight everyone x
Goodnight Nigel x

Thanks for the support Dot. If the hearing aides are a better quality than the el cheapo gov supplied ones, his nibs should get some relief, Your block is sounding much more civilised. Keep it up mate, that whipper snipped will get a workout. xxxx
Robert, you made me smile too. Thanks for that support.
last night I was way too tired to turn the computer on. The caravan was almost packed by the time we went to bed and it was just soo hot. This morning we were able to leave in good time (for us) and made it to Tamworth with very little problems. We both agreed to keep going, so tonight we are at Urunga showgrounds and staying for three nights.
We had a small issue with the fridge. I tried to put the fridge onto 12 volts for travelling and the tiny knob came off in my hands. I taped the ends and hoped that i had found the right setting for it. Once we arrived in town and had power, I fiddled again and hoped tp have found the 240 volt place. There is ice forming on the freezer, so I guess it's ok. There is a caravan place in town, so we are hopeful of getting a better part. It's a dometic fridge, just like most caravans, so not too worried. As long as I have found the right spot to leave the knob on, fridge will be ok.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Well woke up this morning and the right foot was painful, gave me hell all day. At the moment the foot is swollen and bruise. Can not remember dropping any thing on it. Was working on the new fridge stand yesterday and a lot of leaning forward on by toes and squatting. See how it goes tomorrow.
Rain today with some stron squalls thrown in so best staying inside, at lest for half the day.
Take care and safe travelling, night Dot cheers Robert.

'tanks" here---
So, its almost the end of another day and time for some more sleep.
Nothing overly exciting today, but I did go to the library. The Head Library lady holds books aside that she thinks I may like to read. Just another country service.
I now have a Year 2021 release of the Perth author, Judy Nunns' title "Showtime".
Judy is a well-known author and writes a lot of Australiana. I have read most of her books and enjoyed them.
The second book I have is from Di Morrissey title "The Plantation" released Year 2010.
Both authors are very well known, and their research of their subject matter is right-up-there, so to speak.
I was unaware that Judy Nunn spent so much of her life on the stage and played the Sydney Opera House amongst other notables with J.C. Williamson.
Keith.

I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Dot, stay sane and enjoy the block escape. xxxx
I know I said Urunga last night and not even drinking booze. We really are staying at Uralla, Captain Thunderbolt area in the highlands. It has been very hot during the day and the the temp drops at bedtime,,, perfect weather for sleeping.
We figure that the knob for the fridge isn't really an issue. We wont try to move the control around from where its working so well on power. It will just have no power when we travel. The local caravan place doesn't do much, but we did try. Nice man but useless for us anyway. We reckon we can order one online, just before we head for home in a few weeks. We will still try a few places on our travels, but not losing sleep over it.
Had a lovely day wandering around, lunch in the nicest cafe in town and now it's getting up a bit of a wind again.
