It looks like the updated version of AS3001 has finally been released. I haven't seen a full version of it yet, but it seems to have changed a fair bit in regard to placement of battery storage, segregation and isolation.
There is a technical bulletin that you can access if you google AS3001.2 technical bulletin.
Hopefully, someone might be able to access it and put up a link to it. I don't think I'll have a chance in the next day or so.
AS3001 update.

Re: AS3001 update.
Typical get it wrong wankers. They cannot even differeniate between Lithium Ion Batteries like the Tesla ones that like to burn, and LiFePo4 that do not. According to this my battery bank does not need to comply because it applies "to all types of Lithium Ion batteries "

Re Tesla's, I don't know what standard covers EV's. But I'm sure it will make for interesting reading. Some of the people that have involvement in writing these standards have NFI.
It just looks like they have rushed another AS through.
A few years ago they were panicking because people were using inverters and RCD' s didn't function too well on them.

Re: AS3001 update.
No it doesn't. The standard defers to the ADR's for EV and vehicles. The ADR's defer to the AS3001 for caravans amd motorhomes.Tesla's, I don't know what standard covers EV's

Re: AS3001 update.
Some fkn clown in the Water supply made us put pressure relief valves on instantaneous gas water heaters , run it to a gully trap , an ashtray on a motor bike would be more use , at least ya could use it when parked ... And he prolly got a pay raise ...supersparky wrote: ↑Mon May 15, 2023 4:29 pm Re Tesla's, I don't know what standard covers EV's. But I'm sure it will make for interesting reading. Vik,
Has the van been registered as a motorhome yet? (or) Do you have an electrical certificate for it yet? If not, the new standard requirement , that, lithium to be vented outside might affect your build.
