Yep, battery charger. Best if you install a switch in the cable. Easier than removing the cable all the time. If it zaps once & then you remove it does it zap again second time?

Get out the current clamp meter and start following. Otherwise the new batteries won't be so new in a few weeks.

I’ll have to say good afternoon been really busy this morning, 18c, we had rain overnight, lots of grey clouds floating around, N/W wind, hoping it doesn’t rain till later, want washing to dry.

Waiting on a couple of electric throw rugs arriving, great to put over your legs & keep warm.

Sounds like a capacitor loading, inverter not connected is it ?

Looks like it was the 24v battery charger, no spark when disconnected.
I don't at the moment have a inverter Bill.
