Morning everyone.
Doesn't seem to be as cold this morning. Phone sez 13*??
I think all my chores are finished I might have the day off, things could change when Carol gets up
I have a Cetek 24v charger in the shed that most probably will replace the faulty one that's there at present. I may get to that today or not.
Table top came up OK considering my lack of finesse with jig saw
Not much else going on...CEPT...its bacon and eggs day here...yippy..
Keep safe.
Bernie.

Re: Good morning daily
Good morning, phone tells me 7c, predicted to reach 20c, breeze from the N/W across the lake today, clear sky & sunny.
Enjoy your day at golf Jon.
Bernie the bus looks good, comfortable & I’m sure it will be even better by the time Carol organises her renovations & you finish your repairs.
Only having the eldest to lads today, the two younger ones going to a party at Charlestown shopping centre, certainly don’t have pin the tail on the donkey, musical chairs & the like these days.
Anyone heard from Helen or Ray ?

They are a beautiful bird, when I lived in Cockatoo Vic I had a couple that would eat from my hand, funnily enough, I was the only one they would accept a free feed from .Newcastle George wrote: ↑Sun Jun 25, 2023 9:36 am Good morning All. I never tried to touch them as I didn't want to "humanise" them too much, same as with "sniffy" the possum that would eat sitting on my lap.

Re: Good morning daily
Morning all. Bernie, you might have a 24v to 12v converter some where in the system. Much like an inverter, they have capacitors that require charging and they get drained as soon as the supply is disconnected because they are using that stored energy to supply the 12v output.
Back to fitting up this system to take the house off grid. Seems every task requires something you had but vdon't have any more and that requires either ordering and waiting for the online shopping fairies to drop it at the post office, or a trip to Murray Bridge, Mt Barker or Adelaide ... generally resulting in a lost day each time.
Had to take the inverter back off the wall as well as the MPPT solar controller so I could feed the conduit and cables down. Getting orange 25mm flexible conduit turned into real battle, so rigid conduit and grey conduit and joiners and a can or orange spray paint seems to have sorted that problem. The conduit with solar printed regularly along its length wasn't so easy, as the EOFY approaches, no one is carrying stock, so multiple Adelaide trips to get the conduit and 2.5mm sq 240vac cable and the 6mm sq twin core solar cable .... life was so much easier when it was just on the shelf and magically restocked before it ran out .... well, as long as I remembered to ask a number of times if it had been ordered
Yesterdays hold up was no 25mm saddle clamps to hold the conduit up ...... still waiting for solar DC isolating double pole circuit breakers, 3 way double pole 240vac switches and RVDs, RCDs and double pole circuit breakers .... probably don't need them to be double pole because it's a house install, but better to be ahead of the game after the crazy standards that seems to be appearing .......

What a night, the wind was relentless but cosy and warm in bed .Raining now. Helen aka HTFFBO is still in Boona till the 5th or the 6th July when they will be heading off for a while back on the road. One thing you can expect from her is surprise. Brrrr cold
