Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Weird day here, sunny and warm enough to get into the garden, for some tidying up od the surrounding soil of the fruit trees ready to spray for the downy mildew but need 24 hrs of good weather. Then the new hay mulch. Rosy's mum turned up at 6pm, she said she has never been so cold while in Ballarat  She and Rosy trotted off to bed after tea and will head home tomorrow, Brian is pleased. Wind has picked up now so I am off to bed also. So goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Pet-els x :D

C'mon George. You should know that Bernie will get around to it eventually. He's got plenty to do, just ask Carol. :D
Kinda like why I haven't increased the solar on the Winny. Too busy doing other stuff.

Make the creeper a producing one can make wine out of some   We have a gale blowing here tonight, might even get a power outage!. My Bombers lost their game for the finals so am not happy but there is always next year. Rosy and her mum headed home this morning and Brian smiled as he came back inside at 11am hopped on his chair and didn't awake until 9pm. Poked his nose outside and decided that was not for him so back to sleep is he. So now I am also going to head for bed. Take care on the roads everyone and goodnight to you all. :D x Goodnight Nigel :D x

Dot, I have no proof that the solar men did the dirty. It's not written on any of their accounts. I guess I will have to just wear it and accept that there are too many cowboys out there. Hope you are keeping warm. xxxx

Gas fitter did return the next day, but still no heater that is warming us anyways. He finished the install and was watching the flames glowing and noticed the fan was not getting faster as the thing was getting warmer. He stood up and watched as the whole lot just shut down completely. Never to start again. After doing a lot of investigating, he found that the fan has a controlling wire that somehow, was installed right under the fan. As the fan was working, it cut the wire and the whole lot stopped. After much toing and froing from the manufacturers, they are sending the part to me and have agreed to pay the gasfitter to install it. He sent them an inflated quote and they agreed to pay. That is the good thing with buying things that are actually made in Aus. In the meantime, we are freezing, that sunshine that Shirley has shown you all, is just not giving any warmth at all.

I have spent ages trying to get a code for a photobook to work. The DIl gave me a nice voucher for Mother's day and I thought I could use some of it now. So I have been trying to put the code into the photobook web pages and it totally refused to play. Finally, I looked ta the voucher and it says in big print photobookshop. Prices seem better there than at photobooks, no wonder why she chose that mob to do her shopping at. Good thing is that they will take a small bit off the voucher and I can still use the rest of it any time before May2025. I am planning to make a book, showing the stages and expertise of making a plate, from scratch. I will be starting at the kiln wash being painted onto the shelves even, to make it true to the artform.

nighty night xxx

Deborah, we have glass doors facing almost directly north across the lake the sun beams in of a morning & it’s really warm, fortunately we don’t get many days in Winter where there is no sun.

Actually been to hot playing bowls in the sun too, no shade on the greens & dress to keep warm, end up taking coat off.

Your video making glass art from the beginning will be very interesting, do many people enjoy the art?

Inside all day cuz the weather has been terrible, in the hills there is once again 2 dams threatening to break their banks. Lots of trees down and roads closed because of the gale winds. Expecting more in the coming days. Spoke to my NZ M8 yesterday for 3 hrs   and she had 3 sheep wash away in the paddock and got caught in the fence, they have had so much rain lately she is pi--ed off that she is confined to indoors. Deborah go into the van to get warm. George went to the garage sale over the road and came back with (wait for it) 400lps. we have a friend that collects them but 400 WTF. I thought Ray had headed north but they are at home and heading nth soon for the warmer weather, who else is heading that way? Pudding time, custard and apple pie and a dash of cream yummo. Going to say goodnight everyone :D x keep safe on the roads and stay warm Goodnight Bobr x :D

I can only imagine the reply.

"But Dorothy, I thought it was a good deal. You'll never get another one like it. And, Dorothy, we don't know which ones he hasn't got."

Great thought Dot. The van is parked down on the waterfront, getting all of the freezing winds blown through it. We are managing, just. The extra layer of clothes is enough with the air con thundering away. hope you are warm too xxxx

Shirley, your glass room sounds wonderful. We have one too, but it faces due West, we get beautiful sunsets and have sun in the windows from late morning. It pays to stay in bed a bit longer on cold days. I am making a book for my stall to show the customers, not a video (not that technical). There are a few glass artists around the country. I know of at least 10 who share email and f**kbook messages regularly. Some do bead making and other do mosaicing, but there are a lot of fusers like me too. The interesting thing is that we all do totally different work but start with the same lumps/sheets of glass.

I expected to be filling the kiln up with another bowl today, but the pendants that were being repaired or remodelled and the oblongs that are for hairclips were all a little under cooked. The corners were a bit sharp, so the kiln needed to be a little bit hotter. They are being re-warmed as I type. I have the next kiln shelf painted and ready to go for another go at this fancy bowl thing. I then cut up enough glass to make said stunner and that's the day in a frozen nutshell.

night all xxx
