Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Bernie if you are changing the seats you should have them passed by an Engineer.

... and then you will find the shed hassles you had with the council was a very minor inconvenience ;) Once you change the original seating, it becomes a bit of a Rafferty's Rules affair depending how much you upset the official that is doing the engineering acceptance of it meeting the requirements .... all the way to self tightening inertia reel and only new is acceptable, can't be from a wrecked vehicle, and all the seat mounts and seatbelt mounts needing the made by a ticketed welder and x rayed ..... I kid you not, I've seen it a few times ...... and most certainly don't attempt to get it changed to South Australian rego, you haven't seen nitpicking until you have seen Regency Park in full swing

The bus has a blue plate saying seat change...and the new seats fit straight into the original holes...so that as far as I'm concerned is it. :D

Providing the new seats meet the relevant ADRs.

There should be a traceable record on all the changes.

I know with mine. The engineer recorded and photographed all the seat details when issuing the blue label.

When our bus was being "stretched" extra steel framing was added to which the seat belts and seats were bolted and passed by the consulting engineer who was well known to the firm doing the re build and there were no problems with the bus meeting the roadworthy (ADR) requirements (we only have lap belts)

Mode plate just says seats changed by owner, and I also have the paperwork...the seats are out of a vehicle so must have the relevant ADR.
And I wasn't happy with the way the seats were originally (factory) so I added inch and a quarter angle iron under the body.
And Jon its different in Qld I had our Nissan civilian derated over the phone.
