Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Off to a nice hot bath now. Had our spike and dyke hair cuts today. It was a really cold day as well. I did a bit of cleaning in the bus an stocking up the cupboards, just have to mop the floor and get the fridge started for departure to the block on Thurs / Friday. Ran all the heaters, HW and gas, and esp the loo ;) Brian did not get out of bed until 3pm when we got home, then he pops outside and is back in on his chair within 30 mins and there he still is. A couple of loads of washing done so nothing to do tomorrow  Tanks is still off line and may be back next week if his computer has a rest, may be we are just too hot for him. Behave and goodnight you lot x :D Goodnight Bob x :D hope all goes well xx

Dot, who you telling to behave? Not a chance in hell.   Spike n dyke haircuts will make you feel the cold more, so pack your woolly beanies mate xxxx

It's freezing outside. The sun was shining today, but the air has icicles in it.

After filling the kiln shelf with extra glass, it fired up really nicely. Annoyingly, the top is lovely and shiny like it should be, but the bottom of the glass has the nicest details in the patterns. Today it got all cleaned up and flipped , so that the bottom is on the top and it will get a nice glossy finish on it. I hope that tomorrow I will be able to shape it all into a bowl. Feels like I have been working on the one piece all week.

It's too cold to get out in the garden, so I did the other worst thing. I stayed up inside and did internet shopping and paid the bills....ouch

More washing (sheets towels) done before we hit the road to the block tomorrow . Even did some cooking  Can't wait for the BOB's TDF to start bums and more bums to pick the winner, and I pick Yumbo Visma to win. Turned Brians "calm him" plug in before we head off and the electric blanket on low to get any moisture out of it. Will visit the Mannum couple on Sunday. We have a few sunny days coming up, happy with that. Had a real estate man ring and ask if we wanted to sell the block? Hmmmmm. Sell house first maybe August while we are away for a couple of weeks. Pics please Deborah, if they turned out ok that is. Heading to bed so Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Swisszulu x :D

Dot, enjoy your time at the block, sounds like a good escape plan. ;) ;) ;) Pics? patience grasshopper, it aint finished yet. xxxx

Shirley is giving you temperatures, but has forgotten the icicles and throat cutting winds. BBBBBRRRRRRR is polite enough to let you know how it really feels.

That lump of glass is not doing things the way it should. It is still not very shiny, so it's back in getting a little bit hotter and for a little bit longer. Shine you mongrel, is the instructions that I gave it when closing the kiln door.

We did a big grocery shop today and OMG the prices are scary. The only bargain in the place was chookens for $6 kilo. Tonight I cooked up two humungous birds (2.6 kilos each) filled with home made stuffing and the meal was delicious. I have left enough for the next two nights meals and frozen three of the cooked breasts. Those will make great instant meals when we are back on the road, soon-ish.

Dot, the black carpet is not for you mate. You been a whitey for too long ... :o Stay warm watching the poofball xxxx

The chill factor is huge at the moment. With the cutting winds and a headache to match, not a lot got done today.

I did venture to the shed and not overly happy about the blob and it's lack of shine. The decision was made to put it back in for a final time, but only a short while to help it get to be a bowl shape. I am getting concerned that this may be the last firing before it decides to crack up on me. There is a certain tolerance to how many times a piece of glass can be cooked and I don't think my luck is that great. So no more after tonight.

Have you got it back yet Supersparky??

7degs this morning and a thick fog as well. Had fog all the way from here (the block) over the hills until it cleared at Palmer. Had lunch and a couple of hrs with T1 and Margaret and headed home before dark as roos are all through the area. Had a good day, even got to see T1's pussy ;) They looked better than the last time we saw them. . it is amazing to see how the town has bounced back after those floods. Their shed needs to be uplifted as is and placed on the river bank as an art sculpture. Right OK tomorrow is op shop trail, hope to see somethings of interest maybe different foot things for Ray, saws for Supersparky, chicken things for Bobk, wool for RnB etc  Sick of this voice crap everything is getting out of control , just fed up up with the PCBS. The BOB are is going well Spain looks a pretty country but they have bull fights and the horse v bull and that is disgusting so will never spend a cent there. Temp is now 6 deg outside and blanket and diesel heater is on. Deborah what happens when you cook glass to many times? BTW the Jayco boys are doing very well but 3 weeks is a long time on a bike up those mountains. The Ozzie boys are also going well. Tanks may be back on in a day or so, that will make him happy. OK 86 ks to go so shower before the real racing so goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Chuck x :D

Dot, you are living the life mate. :D ;) Op shops tomorrow, have fun and remember, the chase is what it's all about. Something different in each shop is always a good start.xxxx

What happens when you cook glass too many times? It gets cranky and breaks into lots of little pieces. When I removed the bowl from the kiln it looked so bad, that I decided to take the risk. Anything will be better than the lump that it looked like today. Now it will be getting fired tonight to flatten it. Tomorrow it will get a full fuse firing with lots of tiny bits of crushed clear glass on it, to make some sparkle. Tuesday, hopefully it will get back to bowl shape. If it does not survive any of this, it will go in the bin.

I spent a lot of time making new pricetags for my stall. Anything that has not had a price rise, since I started is going up by minimum of $5. I had a bit of a moment when I realised that after adding up all the instalments for Lightning Ridge, I have paid $500 for two tables in their new marquee. Instead of last year being $370 for a spot in the old beer garden. The marquee may have cost them a lot more, but I will be very unhappy, if I make no profit. I love going to the ridge, but I may have to carefully consider if this is the right place for me to be selling my stuff. Our winters in Queensland, may become a thing of the past. I certainly hope not.

Not yet Dot. But it will be around here somewhere.
Strangely enough, I received a letter from the CEO of that Latitude mob telling me that my 'everything' details were stolen a few months back. A bit p' ' s poor on their part I reckon. Gotta sort all that shite out now.
Cheers
