Re: Good morning daily
Good morning All. Myself, Julie, my sister and bil drove to Toowoomba yesterday to see my daughter in hospital. My 2nd eldest son, Lance and Ainslie's mother, my ex wife, had also driven from Wollongong in a vehicle with a tow bar. Ainslie was out of bed with a complicated neck brace. Lance, my sister Noeleen and I went to the towies premises and spent the day unpacking Ainslies possessions from both the van, which is a write-off, and trailer in order to repack the trailer which Lance will tow to wherever Ainslie wants it taken.
Ainslie was discharged from hospital after Julie had discussions with hospital staff as to future care apart from the necessity to wear the neck brace for 6 weeks.
We arrived back in Nerang 8pm while Lance took Ainslie, trailer and all to some overnight accom prior to taking Ainslie to wherever she decides as she is single and homeless without the van.

That's a big day for you George. Fair bit of travel involved. I hope everything turns out OK for Ainslie, and she makes a complete recovery.
Cheers

Re: Good morning daily
"tanks" here----BernieQ - - - I'm still about and looking in on the forum mate.
Nothing much to report from the West and from the bedroom which is where I spend most of my time.
This minimum weight bearing regime does place restrictions on my mobility and activity, so I don't have very much to post.
I did take my pain relief medication plus all of the other junk that has been prescribed, and the next thing is to have a late breakfast.
My Laptop is functioning again so that eliminates having to replace it - as recommended by the Geek2Us fix-it man.
He couldn't fix the fault when he came to the house, and he was not even able to connect the new HP Printer I had purchased.
At least the company waived their $185.00 service fee.
I did manage to get the printer operating after the Geek bloke departed, and I have been able to print our all of the paperwork I need for my Income Tax return. This was a great feat owing to my very limited ability to do things "Laptop" wise.
I'm still not even interested on the Wheelie Bin truck days, or any other local activity in my day-to-day pain control.
I'm adjusting to living in ONE BEDROOM and the space restriction, after living in a 3-bedroom house for the past many years.
It's time for back to the horizontal position and no weight bearing for a few more hours. The next exciting activity is lunch.
Keith.

I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

Re: Good morning daily
Just catching up on everyone's news after a few days off-line.
George,
Not good news about Ainslie. We hope she recovers fully, and is able to sort out short-term accommodation. Although, given the reputation of insurance companies on total write-offs, that may have to be medium- to long-term accommodation.
Good news for Tanks... he's found his voice again!
We're both well and enjoying our 'beach fix' for the year. The girls are behaving well and loving their twice-daily beach walks, although Kelly would dearly love to be off-lead so she can bolt up the beach again. No chance! We busted a poofoo valve chasing her a mile up the beach last time.
NEVER AGAIN!

Re: Good morning daily
electric vehicle meeting tonight, my bit of excitement for the mth, apparently someone is either arriving here or telling us when he will arrive, to inject some killer stuff into the prickly pear bush and says it will take roughly 4 weeks to die in this weather .... gotta be better than trying to get the little thorns out if we cut it down and then have to find somewhere to dispose of it .... probably take 4 weeks to do that .... after the first lot of prickles the " I'm sure I can find something better to do" will probably kick in and stretch the job out indefinitely
Lean-to is dismantled and the rotten bits holding the privacy screen up have been removed, just neeed the prickly pear gone so we can take the strangle three round pole structure out (think it might have been an entrance to a walkway between our property and next door across the vacant block)
Then I can brick pave that section all the way up to the garden shed (about 12 mtrs) so I can drive the truck up there to get a straight run back beside the garage so I can drag the canopy top off the truck .... seems a lot of work, but I'm halfway there now so .......
