I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Oh what a thrashing, not happy Jan. I did pop off to bed and watched the BOB's and last night on tonight but Yumbo Visma have the race won.
Formality night tonight. Not happy with a person named George Beaumont, yep went to the op shop on Friday and HE said he would take the stuff put aside for the shop into the back area. Today we went to friends in Angaston and were dropping off a lot of my good clothing(too small) all drycleaned etc etc. I said to the lady I bought you some good stuff you may want to sell on your ebay site, G said what stuff? I gave it to the op shop WTF there was a few hundred $$ worth that were all on coat hangers and in a clothes protected bag. He had NOT listened to me when I said this is for Claire. Then he tells me he added in all my LP's and given them to our friends as well. I rang our friends about my LP's and he will put them aside BUT I don't know how I will go with the op shop stuff. I rang their number and asked for someone to ring me asap , G may have to go to church tomorrow to see if anyone is in the op shop doing sorting. (the shop is in part of the church) I have never felt so dam angry at him . Just may pick some of his tools from his shed if I can't get my clothes back. Bet the ladies may of had a ball going through my clothes.
Tea time , finishing off the meat loaf, insulin for Gman. I have a sore throat
please let it not be anything I shouldn't have
Goodnight everyone x
Goodnight Norman x

Poor George, I reckon he's never been in so much trouble except at the post office when he delivered the wrong toy to the wrong spinster. .... rumour has it of course.

Dot, I feel your pain mate xxxx
David, we seem to be crossing paths. Tonight, we are in downtown Narrabri in the showgrounds. It's super freezing too.
So far, that estate agent has sent four lots of documents. Tonight I sent her a good email, explaining that I am now very suspicious as to their motives. As there is no rush, we will think even more about it when we return home.
Very late yesterday i had a phone call from a lady claiming she is from services NSW (centrellink, roads and stuff). She demanded that I identify myself and I refused after a polite showdown, I convinced her to send me an email. This was almost closing time for those offices by then . The email was in my account, but it really peed me off. It claimed that my rav 4 is now unregistered, I renewed the rego early and all places that I can check, say it's registered until July 2024. I sent off an email to give the details of payment etc, time will tell what comes from that. Good thing the car is locked in the garage and we wont need it for a couple of months. What a PITA.
Our drive to Narrabri was uneventful and it will be another drive tomorrow to get to Lightning Ridge. We plan to stop there for a week.
night all xxx

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Deborah, we probably waved at you today. I usually wave at the travellers heading the other way, but I don't think as many wave back as they used to. I did notice that quite a lot of women were doing the driving today.
Enjoy your travels to Lightning Ridge, we may go home that way, if we have enough time.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
When in Lightning Ridge we always stay at Carinya Station, just out of town by a few clicks.
It's run by a young couple and it's rent-free as long as you can help a bit around the station.
It's generally disliked by the LR tourist mob for whatever reason they can think of on the day

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Dot, keep that heater going mate, it's bloody freezing. xxxx
David, yes hubby would have waved at you too. We like to be friendly and it cuts a slow trip. The grey/dark silver patrol is not really a memorable car/truck so understandably you would not have remembered seeing us.
Ron, we are "working" at the opal festival so need to be close in to town and on deck at the festival most days, so your suggestion is probably not for us. Thanks for thinking of us tho.
We arrived at The Ridge in next to no time really, a four hour run. The roads between Narrabri and The Ridge are disgraceful. They are rutted and full of very deep potholes, so not a smooth ride at all. Then we met those bloody emus. On two occasions, we had an emu just stroll right in front of the truck. Thankfully our driver is also used to emu antics, so was expecting it each time. Emus would be the stooopidest animal on earth.
We are staying at the Lightning Ridge holiday park. The Opal is the very best place to stay. It's newer (by a few decades) and has all the bells and whistles. We loved staying out there when we were tourists, but we need to be closer to the festival and for much less money than at the opal, we can have an ensuite site here. Ensuite gives us a place to stash any extra things that don't easily fit in the van, We did a bit of a shop at woolies in Narrabri, just to save us some money. Things like tissues, toilet paper and boxed water, that were easy to throw in the van on the way here, but once stopped, they don't fit. A nice hot shower to take my time in, is also appreciated for a treat.
Thanks for the support on my f**kbook page, it's really appreciated. for those who don't know about this page, it can be found at f**kbook in the name of; D.d.dragon dezigns
Happy travels and sleep soundly xxx

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Bite your tongue!!
Recently visited a friend that has some wildlife.
Mrs Emu layed the eggs.
Mr Emu sat on them for 2 months & hatched out 11 chicks.
He will now spend 3 years raising them.
Mrs Emu already has a new Daddy & is busy laying eggs for him.
Same next year & THEN she will be back to hubby No1.
Still reckon she is stoooopid?
