Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Well, the man who was going to inject the prickly pear turned up and told us it wasn't prickly pear, just another really nasty cactus that is immune to the moths and beetles ..... the bush was too compact to actually be able to reach the main trunks so we had the job of cutting it down anyway and he will come back and inject the trunks near ground level.
Unfortunately, the bush was too tightly bunched to do the throw over trick, so the long handles pruning shears, a picker upper tool Margaret bought from the cheap shop (that was next to useless because the pieces were too heavy for it to hold) and a shovel and rake, then the chainsaw, and it is all in the 6 x 8 trailer .... well, just about all, need to use the yard vacuum to pick up all those little sprouty bits that cover the tops of each leaf that the new leaves grow from .... Dave says I'm not allowed to complain about the prickles, so I'll leave Margaret to do that part

There is another big patch in the sunken yard next door, I was going to do the good neighbour thing, but that bit about once bitten (or prickled severely) twice shy kicked in ..... so it's still there
Bruce has had a few run ins with the cactus, so he can confirm what a nasty piece of gear it is, so happy days Bruce, it is there no more 8-)

Hmm, yes. Trimming, cutting, shifting anything that even resembles cactus is always fun. Not. I do not enjoy doing any work with cactus, and we've got plenty.
They always seem to find a way to spike you.

We are currently parked up in a rest area at the north end of the Pilliga scrub, about 20km south of Narrabri. I hope the yowie isn't about, it's a new moon so should be ok.
Cheers

Good morning everyone.
Yesterday was a repeat of the day before :D same old sameO except in reverse :D ;)
Today I will be putting it all back together so the "boss" can do what she wants to do in the bus.
I did make the new dining table, still to reposition the hole in the floor thingy. 8-) and of cause I don't have a hole cutter big enough  will check the neighbors. I have a two inch but need bigger.
Fresh here this AM phone sez 9* but that's way off probably half that.
So Dave, don't the Yowie's come out with the moonlight
Keep safe out there.
Bernie.

Went to visit a cousin of Bruce's Dad for her 102 birthday. She and 97 year young husband live in their over 50s village. She recited about first4 verses of Clancy of the Overflow! Learnt in primary school but short term memory totally gone.

Good morning everyone. My phone tells me that I'm at Bobena Creek, where the current temp is 1° with a feels like of -2°. It's still dark here so I don't think I'll even bother getting up 'til Bandit wakes up. Twas a reasonably quiet night, no Yowies, just a few trucks passing by. The highway is getting busier now, but we won't move on til around 8am.
Safe travels everybody, have a great day.
Cheers

There's not too much can survive a drink of that stuff. Just don't put it on anything that is in flower. It will kill the bees too.
