Recently visited a friend that has some wildlife.
Mrs Emu layed the eggs.
Mr Emu sat on them for 2 months & hatched out 11 chicks.
He will now spend 3 years raising them.
Mrs Emu already has a new Daddy & is busy laying eggs for him.
Same next year & THEN she will be back to hubby No1.
Still reckon she is stoooopid?

I do hope your emus are given some roadside edumication mate. Walking in the opposite direction until they hear a vehicle. Then they slowly turn and walk right in front of the truck. It's like their own game of chicken, in real life. The emu parenting is smart females being very progressive.

Tanks, thanks for the advice to get the putty stuff to fix our water tank. After three weeks it's still not leaking and we had just enough rain to totally cover where the hole had been.He reckons the knead it stuff is a bit of all right, so thanks for the good advice.xxx

Had a rest day today to get our strength up for the rest of the week. Tomorrow we will have a long sleep in, then after lunch, we will go down to the marquee and start on our display. That's always the hardest part. Once the decisions are made and the stock put out, the rest is just waiting for the customers to come and spend up big

Op shop treasures ? Dot xxxx

We did have that lovely long sleep in today. Went to grocery shop for more ant bait gggrrrr. Well, at least they seem to be eating it and going away. Hoping that's the last of them . We do have to park under the neighbour's bottlebrush at home. Once we park the van, it's too late to remember to prune the monster.

Wandered over to the marquee to start on the set up, only to find that the corner tables that have been allocated are the smallest corners that we have ever had to negotiate. As this was the only stall that I could afford, I am working on setting up as best as I can. So we finished putting all of the stock out, leaving a few boxes of plates untouched, returned to the truck to find a big bag of all the cheapy pendants. Tomorrow, we may have to do another shuffle. Will see how we go.

Yesterday Gman headed to Birdwood to get a RAT test kit as I was totally out of it with a sore throat, headache and bedridden .and bugger me he tried his luck and dropped into the closed op shop to see if anyone was there and by sheer luck there was so he got to look through the mound of bags and BINGO, he found my stuff, BUT he missed the smaller bag. Oh well I thought I got the best stuff back. RAT test =0. Seeing the day was warm and clear we decided to head for home, I drove the bus and G in the car so he dropped into the op shop again and again Bingo the smaller bag was there unopened. Happy was I BUT BUT BUT, for some reason I asked him where my DVD's were and guess what? He had given them away, all my old comedy DVD's like Mrs Browns boys, Benny Hill, Dave Allen, On the bus's, All the Carry on series, etc etc I could not believe this man so he is in the shithouse AGAIN. When we got home I was so cranked up I mowed the lawn (weeds) did the washing, used the blower for the leaves, cleaned the bird cages, and buggered myself out AND in the mail was another prize from the hospital lottery, so far we have won wine sa, $100 cinema pass, $100 Voucher for Coles, K Mart, Target. Woolies, bunnings etc so we have done very well. Good luck with the sales Deborah, Don't over do it either have some fun yourself. NC George glad things are improving for your daughter.
