Good morning Dot. Good morning everyone else too.
We had a pretty amazing day, saw lots of interesting wildlife and some stunning scenery.
We are heading out to Montgomery Reef now. Should be there by brekky time. The weather has been beautiful.
If you were a bit hot and sticky, just stand at the front. They'll drive the boat right under the water. Couldn't go swimming there. The big lizards might have a chomp.
Safe travels everybody.
Good morning daily

Morning sparrow farters
I finished the strapping on the sides of the shed...now just the roof.
But not today we are off to Maryborough to shop...that time of the month again
Pesky birds are still happily feeding the young
Did everyone see how many words are in Terry's new phone...wow...I thought he had Cuppa's for a minute

Re: Good morning daily
Deborah it's interesting that your LG battery was installed UNDER the house as when our Tesla Powerwall was installed it had to be outside the house and if mounted against any surface that surface had to be of metal or other fireproof material and there had to be a sunstantial clear area around it.
Until I read the rules regarding house battery installations I was going to ask them about installing it under the house.

He looked over the remains of the building and unofficially agrees with the demolition bloke as to how it happened ..... just another reason why I am in no rush to start another business ....

Re: Good morning daily
Glad it was helpful for you and hopefully others, I hope it's surrounded with fire proof material if it's under the house .....dream4red wrote: ↑Thu Aug 24, 2023 12:06 am Terry, thank you for that valuable information.
Our solar system has a lithium battery under the house. It is made by LG who are doing a lot of recalls at the moment...due to fires. Luckily ours is not part of that recall, but we are having a software update done on it as an extra safety precaution by LG. With your information, when we finally return home, I think it might be overkill, but a good precaution to have a bucket of sand near the battery. It wont hurt to be prepared, so thanks for making me think about the precautions.

Re: Good morning daily
Terry, now I wish I was home to start on a plan to protect the house. The battery is built onto a brick wall in our basement with the timber floors about 8 feet above it. As soon as I get the guys from the company who are doing the software upgrades, I will have a million questions. They are a different company to the original installers, so will probably have no reason to tell me rubbish. I think that I may have trusted the original company way too much.
The original company have been doing solar for about twenty years and are highly respected in this area. I wonder if he is just getting lazy.

The house's in your new village look ok Bob.
We have camped at the free camp at Theodore Deb...but not at the show grounds.
Was a few years back and the free camp was full of southerners.

Bernie.

Morning all
Bernie the houses here have a bit more room around them and more room inside ( ours is three bedroom plus a study)
It's certainly different coming from 1.000 plus acres down to 5 1/2 acres then down to this.
Gee that looks like a fabulous trip your doing Dave.

Morning all.
Covers off the box, still attached to the motor. The rear nut removed; always a problem and has to be split to break the O ring seal.
Some movement in all the gears, little rubbing on 3/4 and the 3/4 selector is a just under spec. More strip down today.
