Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Yep ABC news had Granite Belt as catastrophic fire area today, trouble is it has been storming all night with 40mm of rain, the catastrophy is having a little trouble getting started.

Good morning everyone from behind the Woomarel roadhouse. It's a spartan little van park that's more than a bit dated. But it was somewhere to plug the camper into overnight. Lots of feral goats wandering around up here.
Saw couple of Eagles eating roadkill yesty arvo. They look pretty big when they hop out of the way. We are off to Canarvon today.
I hope the Granite Belt doesn't burn again. We did a bit of work with Blazeaid there, a few years ago. A friend has just built a house at Dalveen.
Safe travels everybody. Have a happy Monday.
Cheers

The orange taxi Prius finally reached the point where it was virtually non driveable. Spent the last few days removing and testing the battery, now, after careful consideration, we have bought a genuine Toyota spares replacement to be picked up from Murray Bridge on Wed.
We finally ran out of going vehicles that could carry more than two people and because we need to take Brian to doctors appointments etc, we need room for a min of three people.

We would love to get the Jimny back on the road, but we lost the rego papers Ray signed over the ownership on in the fire, we also lost the keys and they had to central locking and immobiliser thingy on them, so we can't get it running again or registered until Ray gets us replacement papers so we can tranfer the rego into our name and then order new keys from Suzuki ......

arvo all. Sunny again, had some rain and wind through the night though. Planted tomato plant, peas and cucumbers, see how they go this time. Spoke to my mate in NZ she is now emptying buckets of water from the verandah that is still waiting insurance assessment. has been raining for months and she is fed up, had to farm her donkeys out to dryer land and the old house she bought to connect to her old house is still unable to be even put onto her land. Both her houses are beautiful Kauri wood with led light windows. Take care everyone x

T1, about how much is a new genuine Prius battery gunna cost? I'm only really asking cos fuel is getting so bloody expensive. It was $2.49 in Broome last week and this morning in Canarvon was $2.21/litre. So it's pretty easy to drop $100 or so any time you need to refill.

David,
remember when they pushed gas motors? Oh yes, they will be cheaper to run, until they weren't
Next came deisal , same story. Suddenly that one is now dearer.
Now you can get an electric car, but who can guarantee that enough electricity will be available to run homes, businesses and now cars?
The other thought is that if there are thousands of people with electric cars, who has the right to be first to get power to their car? I see lots of people sitting in cars waiting to charge them in very long lines. Takes a long time to charge anything doesn't it ? What will electric charging stations be charging just to charge up a vehicle?

Just a little bit of cynical thinking.
Deborah
