Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

David had planned on some pictures, doing two sections, front strip will be roses and other seasonal bulbs. Side section will be native food plants so only tube stock and slower to grow.

Had a good day today, AJ did me a favor this morning, she picked up our forum friend Supersparky aka David from his hotel in the city and bought him up to Strath for a visit while Terrie his wife hit the markets and went to parliament to have some laughs. After lunch we hopped in the car and headed to Mannum to see Margaret for afternoon tea Of which I baked this morning, (a carrot cake) Had a few hrs sitting on the verandah it was time for us to hit the highway and deliver David back to Terrie. Had to do a bit of "ring around the block" a few times to get a park as it was peak time. Had a cuppa and some nibbles then it was time to hit the highway home. Got home just on dark, had a light tea and plopped in front of the giggle box. It was good to see D & T and was a good boost to the moral and to get out of the place for a while. It was strange to see the remains of the T1 lithium business actually sad but time for moving on and do some travelling. Margaret is keen. Got a Jayco leak hey Deborah? where abouts? At least you made a profit and not a loss Deborah. Oh I was about to pull into the Mannum op shop but I had 2 old men in the car that were moaning and said NO .. Maybe their bladders were acting up. Off to bed now I have had a big day, with baking and all  Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Terry T1 who locked himself out of his car :D x

G'night Dot. I actually had my seatbelt off outside the Op shop before you were advised that perhaps you shouldn't park on the yellow line.
It was good to catch up again. Waiting at the airport now to get onto the plane home. Looks like it might be a bit smoky when we get back to the east coast.
Cheers

Jayco leak is not that rare Dot, but it is not a new van (2014) and it has been out in the weather all that time. We have been really lucky with it, but there is a drip mark in the bathroom and we don't want it to escalate. So our caravan repair mate will come to our house and fix it here. Was meant to be tomorrow, but he fell off his bike and the damage is not pretty. So probably have to wait for another week or two. It isn't major, so no drama. You really did hit the tiles today mate. Reckon a sleepy head day for you tomorrow, will help xxxx

This is especially for Terry. Our LG battery service people finally turned up today. The sad news is that the battery is not healthy. It is expanding and been totally disabled. We now have to wait for GE to get on the case and sort out that refund. I have left a message with our electrical supplier and he should ring me tomorrow. As he has a reputation to uphold, he will not let LG take the mickey and I will be getting him to the design of the replacement battery. The service company that took so long and happily mucked us about, will not be getting the job of replacing the battery with whatever battery we decide.

While I was on a roll, I contacted amazon and asked for a refund for the usb port thing that was meant to light up my Christmas tree display. No dramas, print out this label and send it back, for free. Not unhappy about that.

I spent the rest of the day sorting through the filing system for next year and getting it all in order. I have already had two lots of events asking for expressions of interest etc. One in March and the other for next September. The file has been updated and all printed out and filed into the system for 2024. Just not stopped for most of the day.

sweet dreams xxx
Deborah

you were right about the sleepy time today Deborah, G woke me as usual at 0830 with my pills then as usual zonked out again until noon.  Did virtually 0 until we went around to AJ's and I watered the fruit trees and the roses and dug up a few bulbs she said I could have. Home and then fush n chups for tea. Tomorrow will see some gypsum (heaps) and some chook and pig poo and await for the rotary hoe to be available. Might also dispose of all the veg material into the garden as well. David what do the potatoes do (apart from growing more potatoes) Going to top it all off with a layer of pea straw. The 3 little birds are still all happy in the lavender bush. Tomorrow is set down for a re potting day of the ones from AJ's. I was wondering what else T1 has had go wrong or will that be on his return trip home? Hope everyone up Qld / NSW are safe away from those fires and our sickies are on the mend. Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Chuck x :D

Dot, the roots of the spuds break up the soil and allow the organics that you introduce, or if you just dig them in, the spuds to decompose in the ground and provide nutrients into the soil. Its kind of a win/ win for the soil.
Our friend up Stanthorpe way was told to evacuate the other day. Hopefully she is safe and well.
I reckon there will be a fair bit of Blazeaid work coming up soon for a fair bit of the east coast.
Cheers

Dunno about that Dot. I know the cane farmers will grow a crop of peas and just plough them in, to stop the soil from being too acidic. All the old fellas I knew just grew spuds to break up the clay. Someone a bit smarter than me will be able to give you a credible reason and maybe a technical explanation.
