Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

"tanks" here---

When I was much younger, in fact as I was entering my early teen years, my grandfather told me that there was “nothing to equal the gladness and joy of making and keeping friends”, and I have found this to be the case as I have progressed through life.

As I am now in my mid 80's and heading for the 90 year mark, I find that most of those I had regarded as my friends have died –many of them died during their late 50's.

As you get older you tend to be more reserved or cautious in making new friends, or even associating with unknown people. The friends or associates that I have are mainly members of this Forum; several of whom In have meet in person, and others that I only know through their postings on the Forum.

Another thing that my grandfather told me is:
“No person at any time can aspire to infallibility , but all persons at all times can set down their honest opinion. These opinions may change, partly because circumstances change, and partly because we obtain new information that caused us to modify our view”.

Thanking you all just for being there.
Keith.
I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

Good morning everyone. We had an uneventful drive home from Tbar. Left early to miss the traffic, but didn't.
Only thing of note that I did all day was wash Bandit and all of his bedding. Haven't planned anything for today yet. Will see if Terrie gets called in to work first.
Have a great day everybody, safe travels.
Cheers

Good morning All, we had a hot day yesterday, 33* and a little rain overnight. Forecast for today is mostly cloudy and around 21*.

I have been chasing vinyl planks which match the 2 boxes of them that I have only to find that they are no longer in production so have to decide on which of the current colours/patterns to go for and unfortunately they are all bland grey or brown. I am going to need about 15 square metres of them. I may forget about them for today an do some mowing once the grass dries. I saw Julie off to Canberra for the week at 7am.

Hello peoples, I is back for a few weeks .... aren't you lucky :D
Drove the mighty Prius to Lithgow on Wednesday, a bit of a rough start, seems OPTUS has their fingers in lots of things that aren't branded Optus ..... card payments were a bit of a non event early on in the day so the departure was delayed till 10:10am .... the cut off for checking in at the hotel in Lithgow was 9:00pm .... but I get an extra 30 mins when I reach NSW .... yeah, getting old does mess up these things. Stopped at Rankin Springs for fuel, 820km for 45 ltrs, happy with that because I was pedalling it hard .... clock behind the counter said 6pm :o is that the right time .... yeah was the reply, take 30 mins off, not add them on .... hmmm..... try to ring the pub to see if it was possible to arrange a late check in, phone still dropping out every time there was an answer at the other end .... best move along and try later ..... outside West Wylong and the phone finally connects, a tad of negotiation and I guess on a 10pm arrival ... ring at 9:30 and let us know where you are on the journey ..... that bit of the Midland hwy through Grenfel and Cowra is a tad scary as the day turns to night ... and throw in road rebuilding around every second corner or over the crest of a hill, especially when trying to make up time ...... finally got through Bathurst on 9:30pm, went to make the phjone call, phone has died ... another 10 mins for it to recharge enough to get it to start up again and a phone call from the pub, yeah I'll wait for you, checked in at 10:10pm ... with the 30 mins lost, 11 1/2hrs, took another hr or more for the adrenaline to drain from the system and the blood to flow back into the white knuckles

You didn't say the trailer came with it ;) I did mention it to Margaret ... but all I got was  where would we park it, we don't have the workshop any more  8.5 mtrs looking at the listing ... my guestimation is closer to 9 mtrs, but over 12 mtrs ... ummm, I would have bought the one in Adelaide with the 6 sp auto and 3208 CAT motor for $65,000 .... I really liked that one, poor bugga had fully fitted it out and then had a medical event and couldn't drive it ...... but Margaret said no way .....
