Re: Good morning daily
Good morning everyone, I'm back in Mulwala now. It's going to be s stinker of a day and the power company has scheduled a meter change for today. I hope they get here soon otherwise Terrie's mum and dad will melt if the airco is off for too long. Happy hump day everybody. Safe travels.
Cheers

Re: Good morning daily
If that is the gauge used for a state govts financial condition, a trip along the Mid Western Hwy from Hay to Bathurst will show the NSW govt doesn't have a brass razoo to its name ... but once you reach Bathurst, you can see where all the money is being spentsupersparky wrote: ↑Tue Dec 12, 2023 7:45 am Good morning everyone, from the Strathbogie Ranges. It was hot and humid yesty then cooled off a bit later in the day. You can tell that Victoria is broke, all the regional roads that I have travelled on are in serious need of repair.
Not much else to report. Have a top day everybody, safe travels.

I was told by someone who lived outside the three major cities on the NSW coast, NSW stood for Newcastle, Sydney, Wollongong when it came to public works spending, but Bathurst must have snuck in there somehow, could be due to the $$ the Bathurst 1000 weekend puts in the govt kitty ......

Re: Good morning daily
I reckon you've nailed it T1. NSW has been broke for years, you can always tell by the traffic fines which states are low on revenue. Qld and Vic are now running a close second. We were over in WA a few month back. The west coast hwy from Perth to Geraldton and Carnarvon are top class. Only pothole I saw was at a T intersection where heavy vehicles do a tight turn.
Cheers

That has to be SA then, you even have to pay to hand in your licence when it's disqualified. Vic would run a close second, I coped a traffic light speed camera fine for 68km/h in a 60k zone, that couldn't be legit, the traffic was as thick as mozzies on the windscreen crossing the Hay Plainssupersparky wrote: ↑Wed Dec 13, 2023 1:31 pm I reckon you've nailed it T1. Q/ If you have to have a roadworthy to drive on the roads, then why are our roads not roadworthy for us to drive on

If we pay road tax, a fuel levy to maintain roads and NSW pays an additional 3c ltr to upgrade roads, where is the money going, it sure ain't going into road maintenance ....

Morning all.
I have had a win....medical win...My PSA was @10 now 3...Now all I have to do is convince my kidneys that beer is good
And I don't have a cholestol problem
no diabetes.
I went twice to the doctors yesterday...almost...phone call when about half way they rang to cancel, apparently a emergency at the adjoining hospital so no doctor...but reassigned my appointment to a few hours later.
We/her are toying with the idea of removing the overhead bed, that would give more room for cupboards, is bloody heavy, at a guess 50kg plus. And would have to unassembled in side the motorhome....but only a thoughty at the moment. We are using it to store winter stuff in it. there is no mattress.
Garden day today me thinks....still looking for the fuse block
It was still 32* at 6.30 last evening.
Keep safe.
Bernie.

Good morning everyone, it was an absolute stinker at Mulwala yesty. We went swimming in the lake twice. Then a storm rolled through with some light hail in it. No damage.
We had the family Christmas party over at Terrie's sons place late in the afternoon, the oldies loved it. Lots of great grand kids to keep 'em busy.
Going for a drive to Benalla to check the cheap shops and the bric a bracs. Then we're going fishing.
Enjoy bin day everybody, safe travelss

Re: Good morning daily
"tanks" here---
What a wonderful day it is in Wyalkatchem. half of the week gone and I am thinking of Christmas again.
The bin truck comes on Monday at a little after noon, but I put the wheelie bin out late Sunday night.
Like the Australia Post, the newspaper is not delivered, and to obtain the daily news involves a drive to the roadhouse.
The roadhouse is open at 06:00am so this works in with a cuppa while I sit in the sun and read the news. It's not such a bad life after all considered. I get to have a bit of a chat with the early birds who are after a newspaper and hash over the previous days news.
The "bird" from Queensland is the topic of conversation, with the replacement Premier being none other than the bloke who was the Medical Manager when the virus was rampant. The woman who was Health Minister and who ended up as the State Gov has been very mute since she was appointed as the leader of the fray.
This makes life exciting. I cant wait to read the paper while I drink my cuppa in the sun.

I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

Goodmorning one and all
Had a chat with HTFFBO tonight and she asked me to say hi to you all. Hi from Helen. She said she has been bust sourcing "virgin" fruit and vegs for Paul. He is having his little almond gland out next year (Prostate) Can't think of the correct word for the virgin fruit and vegs.
Have a nice safe day everyone.
