Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Hi. Well that was a Christmas that was a bit different. Wind up to 50kl/Hr. Cold with scattered scuddy showers all day. Only 10mls of rain. Pity anyone that had organized an outdoor party. Luckily we had an early Christmas with the family so we could just have a quiet one indoors. Hope everyone is well and can look forward to New Years Eve. Cheers John and Faye

We had a great Christmas, until about 6pm. It then became obvious we were going to get smashed by a massive storm.
Not much around here now that isn't damaged in some way. Steets either side have major damage, our street not too bad, just a few fences missing. No power til Saturday, is the suggestion at the moment. My little 2 kW Honda is keeping 7 fridges or freezers going. Except when 2 cycle at once.
Had no internet or phone since Monday night.
Safe travels everybody.
Cheers

Good morning.
I thought you may have copped that storm Dave. I have neighbors visiting their kids down there they text me about the damage...not good.
WE had rain through the night I will check later to see what we got.
I had yesterday off :D recovery day 8-) 8-) ;)
I'll think of something to do today...maybe...
Keep safe.
Bernie.
We had 76mm.

Good morning everyone. Its going to be hot and windy here. No power in most of our area. Lots of trees over powerlines etc. Many of the side roads are impassable due to fallen trees or powerlines. The repair crews are coming in today I hope. Take care everybody, safe travels.
Cheers

Glad I live in Tas, warm, showers most nights and little wind. We are seeing the beginnings of climate change many decades before they have predicted, can't imagine what it will be like by the end of this decade. How our kids and grand kids will cope is beyond me, when you consider the state of world societies, never ending population growth, wars, insane leaders and environmental destruction.

Quiet holiday here, did nothing but play a bit of music with some friends and did a spontaneous lunch gig for the local nursing home which was supposed to be for one hour, but they refused to let us stop so we did over 2hrs and had a ball, even the staff bopped and danced along. Just love it when the residents go from looking gloomy and bored to bouncing in their chairs and beds that were moved into the big room, they cheered clapped and had huge smiles on their faces which is what makes playing music all worthwhile. Especially being able to play their requests, even if we did make up some as we went along, but that's also what makes it fun, faking it and it got some good laughs when we had to make up the lyrics because we either didn't know the songs very well, or had forgotten them from decades ago.

Good morning everyone. Its going to be another stinker here today. It's already 30°.
Thanks for the offer Bernie, my little Honda is almost on the limiter. :D Fortunately for us the Energex crews are working bloody hard around here to get things functional again. It's a bit sad that the FBk keyboard warriors don't see that though.
Most of the bigger shops are open again, even the servos too.
We have decent phone reception again, but the PHP gremlin hit me again today. Been trying to post since about 5am.
It's bin day somewhere  Have a top day everybody, safe travels.
Cheers
