Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Good morning everyone. No rain here yesty, but we did watch that big storm roll past, up to our north. We could tell that someone was getting smashed by it.
One of our neighbours and I spent a couple of hours cutting broken limbs out of a tree at the end of the street that all the kids play in. Didn't get much else done.
Enjoy bacon and egg day everybody, safe travels all those out and about.
Cheers

Good morning All. 21* and cloudy here with 22* forecast, beautiful.
Julie gave me a new Garmin GPS for Christmas, to replace the 10yo one, for which map updates are no longer available and lately has shown me to be driving through paddocks.
However, I am not too happy with this new one as the first thing I noticed was that it showed a petrol station nearby which has not been there for almost 20 years, a doctor's surgery which had the Doc die about 10 years ago and the surgery closed, a local chemist which disappeared many years ago.
I contacted Garmin regarding the problems and so far they have been of no help as they say that the maps are provided by a 3rd party.

George, it will be interesting to see if you are still driving in paddocks, when you head off next time.

Finally finished the job in the yard, it went from sorting a problem with the battery to:
Repacking the 300Ah battery with 4 new cells

Fitting 2 x 100/50 Victron MPPT controllers

A 3000/12 Multiplus Victron inverter

A blue tooth dongle to the Victron BMV 700 so it could talk to the two solar regulators and his phone
Reconfigure and remount 4 x 100w solar panels

Mount 2 x 175w s/h solar panels from the Mazda

Running 2 two new lengths of twin core 6mm sq solar cable to each solar array and down to the relative MPPT controller

A second DC circuit breaker so the solar could be turned off

Serve me right for saying this should be a quick easy job

T1, I'm glad that you got it done before NYEve, otherwise it might have taken s few days longer. You probably deserve a cuppla steak in a glass and some Dubliner.
That's what I'm getting with my Chrissy vouchers from Dan Murphy's..

Good morning everyone.
Made it....2024... happy new year everyone :D No we didn't stay up for it
Temps still in the high 30s, but I did get the lawns mowed. That was my effort for the day.
Now I haven't anything to do today :D :D Well that could change when herself gets up...
We did get one shower of rain through the night...bugga all in it.
Keep safe.
Bernie.

Good morning everyone, and Happy New Year. It's storming here again. Been like it since around 10pm last night. More than 50mm in the gauge so far.
G'day Bob, you've been a bit quiet lately. We were down through Coona and Dubbo early last month, it sure was dry enough then.
I cut a bit more debris off trees yesty and helped a neighbour with a stump. That was enough for the day for me. Will have to wait and see what today brings.
Have a top year everybody. Safe travels.
Cheers

Good morning 23c, overcast doesn’t look like we’ll see the sun, wind from the N/E.

Happy New Year to all members & hope 2024 brings healing, strength & resilience to all our members dealing with health issues & wishing safe adventures to all those out & about our awesome country.
We always stay up to welcome the New Year, even if we do it to daylight saving time these days  we can watch several fireworks around the lake at 9pm & midnight, last night we had our own fireworks in the bay, a holiday house which I believe is owned by a Lebanese family from Sydney had a good fireworks display at 9pm on the end of their jetty, then at midnight they had an awesome display, really loud, colourful went for ages, was hoping all the local pets were inside & being shielded from the noise.

REMEMBER THIS

If you work for a man, in heaven's name work for him, speak well of him, and stand by the institution he represents. Remember, an ounce of loyalty is worth a pound of cleverness. If you must growl, condemn, and eternally find fault - resign your position, and when you are outside, damn to your heart's content - but as long as you are part of the institution, do not condemn it. If you do, the first high wind that comes along will blow you away, and probably you will never know why.
