Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

The weather today (this arvo) has been nasty, thunder, lightning and torrential rain. Had to dash to the bus and got soaked in less that10 mts. Will try to head off tomorrow but who knows, the weather may change our minds. Good news about Ray isn't it? Goodnight everyone, x :D Goodnight Tanks x :D

You got that right Dot. I especially find that Lifeline and Red Cross shops are dearer than buying from Noni B sales (not all of them, just most). It pays to be picky and if overpriced, we just leave empty handed. Safe travels home mate xxxx

Had a super slow day here. I had started to put all the photos for the annual calendar, into an album. That was done last night, so I expected to be finished creating the calendar before lunchtime. That was a joke. I was a third of the way into it when we stopped for lunch. This seemingly simple task, has taken me the best of a day and a half to create it. I do love to have some of the family photos all nicely printed up and have easy access to them when away from the family. The calendar is often the only place to find printed pictures of our family, so it is almost a historical reference book....should that read histerical? Some of the pics would be considered that and no I will not be able to share them. I treasure my life too much for that. It's just lucky that they rarely look at our calendar. This year, I have some humerous pics of several adults in their Christmas pyjamas... hilarious.
No shed visit today, maybe tomorrow.

We are trying to go slower and slower getting home we are in a nice spot between Tailem Bend and Murray Bridge, for our last night of freedom. This has been a great escape. As we pulled into our stop we noticed a 4x4 near a tree, I prickled up when I saw this, as I was heading out the door Gman was saying "Dorothy stay here" . Pigs arse I replied. There was a child using the pot OK good BUT mummy dearest wiped the sprog and chucked the used paper on the ground, then I watched as the mother squatted and peed and also dropped the paper on the ground. I was off like a raging bull. The guy saw me coming and tried to say hello but I walked straight past him to the paper pile. I asked what he and his wife were thinking? he replied "well look where we are?" hinting at being in the bush. I told him it was people like them that got these places shut down and that there were teaching their sprogs disgusting habits and if I didn't see them picking up their crap and putting it in the bin 3 feet away that I would be forwarding the pictures I had taken to the authorities (had their rego number) He also said they were just a new family and were doing their best, whatever that meant. Told him they needed to try harder. I can't stad back and let these sub humans do whatever they feel like in the country. Poor George will never learn with me.  Anyway time to shut the door and watch the trucks ramble along. Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight N.C. George x

Hope all went well over night then Dot . No surprises left near the bus??? I would have found it hard to stay silent too, grubs xxxx

I had a crappy start to my day. His lordship went down to my shed to turn off the power to the kiln and came back with bad news. The kiln is as hot as hell. It says it has been heating for 36hours and the controller is still going and hasn't turned itself off. After double checking all the power leads and controller leads, I got brave and opened the door of the kiln. I was expecting to see a big blob of drippy glass, which would show that the relays had stuck on. It still hadn't fully fused and there were pieces still in the same place where it started yesterday. I turned the controller back on and had a look at the schedule...oh bummer. Instead of programming it to heat at 660 degrees for 80 minutes, I somehow managed to make it heat for 80 hours.

It was so hot that I was not happy. I rang the kiln man to ask advice and all I could do was wait to cool and startover again. It should be fine. I didn't waste the call. I ordered some lighter kiln shelves while on the phone. That was a bonus. The kiln will finish the full firing up to 850 degrees before breakfast tomorrow.

Hope you all had better days than mine,

Geeze that kiln must of been rather hot Deborah. We got home late morning, got all the washing done and back into their prospective homes in the bus and food etc back inside. Had a lot of garden stuff to do but only some more watering and bird bath cleaning to be done. The lawn has grown heaps so that is also another job. Heading to AJ's tomorrow to whipper snip and mow her back yard and spray some weed murder around for her. We are both having treatments on the weekend and boy do my feet need a bit of torture. No Boysenberries at all this year?????? but the apples seem to be doing ok with just a few bird / possum nibbles in them. Getting ready to watch the Boys on Bikes starting tomorrow but my favs are not here this year guess I will have to wait for the TDF. Brian settled back as soon as he got out the bus and the birds are fine so a cage clean out is also on the agenda. Right now, I am off for a nice long shower and then to bed e buys so Goodnight, everyone x :D Goodnight 2foot6 aka Peter x :D

Good morning everyone, from the Gunning showground. We rolled in here about 9.30 last night. We just found a spot and parked in the dark. Nice hot shower in the new amenities block was very welcome. I hope we can get a feed at the cafe in town otherwise we'll be of to Yass.
Current plan is to be in Mulwala early afternoon. Terrie's mum isn't the best, that why we've been in a rush.
Safe travels everybody.
Cheers

How the hell do people get cheaper dental attention?? G had a dental issue and got in today, end result a bill for $1200.00 "WTF" I said just get the dam things out, That was because he had used up the health fund for the year. Goes back next week. I spent most of the day inside as too hot for me. Birds were going mad so something was about so I watched and waited, saw something blackish but could not see which it was wriggly stick or sleepy so went about doing some watering and when I looked again it had gone. Was over the fence and I was NOT going there on my own. Tomorrow my Claytons daughter goes to theatre for the removal of her lung cancer and my kiwi mate sees the cardio surgeon for her op so bit of a tough day ahead. Got the rest of the plums off the tree today, been a real crappy year for fruit this year, if no better next year they will be pulled out. Time to say goodnight, everyone x :D Goodnight Bobr x :D

I thought that the dental things all got re-set on 1st January? You must have a different plan to us. Oh Dot, you are going to be worrying tomorrow about your mates, try to stay calm. Did the wriggly stick move along because you had cold water in the hose aimed at the snake ? xxxx

Dot, you were right about the kiln and my shed being very hot. It was not great. Anyway I put the glass back to get fired up again, only to find that because of the long first fire, the kiln wash didn't do it's job. The edges of the glass stuck to the shelf and left nowhere for the rest to flow. So it was just a cracked up mess yesterday when I looked. It came off the shelf and went to a clean shelf, still with the steel frame holding it together. It fired up pretty well after all that. It's now in the other kiln, out of the steel frame, getting warmed up again and stretching out to thin it a fair bit. It seems like it's much thicker than 1/2 an inch. Tomorrow will tell if it has worked or not.

David, thinking of you trying to get to Terry's mum. Never an easy drive, but even worse with the added stresses. Fingers crossed mate and stay safe. xxx

The weather is not being kind either. You would swear that we live in a rain forest. Super hot and super humid is all I can say. Had a quote for a replacement air con for my shed, yesterday. I will have to wait until February, but it will be good when it happens.

night all xxx
Deborah

Didn't even look George. The hot shower at the showground won us over. Only $10 p/n. Plus it was a nice stroll around the grounds and a bit of a run for Bandit. We had brekky at one of the little cafes in town. Good value there too.
Cheers
