Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Good afternoon Dot :D , I visited the local skin clinic today had 5 sunspots frozen, 1 on my forehead & 1 just below my neck received an extra long time with the freeze thingo, the other 3 were also on my face, Dr had a good look at the 1 below my neck, he thought it was a skin cancer, see him again in August for my annual skin cancer check.
Think I’ll give bowls a miss on Thursday & give my spots time to heal out of the sun, my blind draw team was beaten last Thursday so we’re out of the four’s championship, personally I don’t agree with or think the blind draw is appropriate for a championship competition.

Sorry no pics yet Dot. It's still a blobby thing. Your decision to sell the block and stay put, would be best made by you and George. Since your neighbourhood has improved, it could make it an easier decision. Just the process of building and moving is so stressful, I can understand the idea to capitalise on the block and stay put. xxxx

This stinking weather has not helped me today. We did the hammer shop run and that was enough for me. The shed remained unvisited. I now have the paint, so need to strip the front door and get it painted soon. We painted the timber with a stained varnish twenty years ago and now the stain has almost disappeared and the timber looks very bleached. I am having new screen doors made for there, so the paint has got to be done soon, as soon as the weather is bearable.

Hoping for cooler weather soon,
night all xxx
Deborah

Dot, I hope Brian is ok. Stay cool down there mate xxxx

It's been another stinker of a day again. I did a few things in the shed, but even with the air con thrashing out cool air, it was unpleasant. The glare off the lake and the grass was making it uncomfortable. I gave up and came upstairs to do very little.

I am starting to get fed up with the solar battery mob. They keep promising money, but it hasn't eventuated. Today marks yet another week since they sent communications, so tonight I sent them a polite blast. I know that we can be hard to track down, at home, but we have been home when we said we would be and the company they sent to us didn't like our dates. So it really has been since last May that this whole process has been dragging on. I am thinking it's time for consumer affairs. Any better suggestions?

goodnight one and all xxx

I've found these days with social media which I don't use as a rule that a nice post laying out the facts on their Farcebook page usually gets very prompt results. No fibs just straight facts.
It certainly did with Australia Post on a couple of occasions, they don't like adverse publicity!
The best one with AP was the parcel that according to the tracking was just starting it's 8th Melbourne to Sydney trip, my comment on their farcebook page about it with the tracking number to ask if they could please take the parcel off the truck as it was sick of travelling ended up in a good result as it was delivered personally by an office walla in a car within 24 hours.

Great day, we had good rain most of the day, even some drains down the road were blocked. Brian has just gone outside 10pm he slept all day, he is healthy but age is creeping up on him as well, right now he is inside the pergola (enclosed) and keeping an eye out for the neighbors roaming cats. G will be getting him in for the night soon. The pergola gets closed off at night and when we are not here. Has anyone here got fake grass down? I heard it was really hot? what say you?How are your "blobs" doing Deborah? HTFFBO said Paul is home and ok. Have a great Australia day everyone and stay safe if on the roads. Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Swisslulu x :D

Dot, on a day like today, there is no way that you could walk on fake grass. I had a principal who had fake grass laid on one playground area, that then had to be fenced off whenever it got too hot, kids who fell over on it had terrible burns. Stay cool xxxx

Today it was 37 degrees as Shirley said, but the wind/slight breeze was just as bloody hot. I stayed away from the shed and wont be calling down to it tomorrow either. Prediction is for 39 degrees.
I spent half an hour lopping off the dead dahlias, because they really looked bad and their garden is on the shadier side of the house. Even after doing that, just the sweatiness in the humidity was enough to take a rest break.

Our Aussie day celebrations are the local power station pay the lions club to provide a free breakfast for us all. Bacon n egg rolls are great, but in this heat and before 10am? I think I will give it a miss this year. Not handling the heat like I used to. I am also wondering how the lions club will cook the BBQ in a high fire danger warning zone? Time will tell.

sleep well xxx
