Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Tragic news Bernie, it only takes that one time, out of the hundreds of times you might have done it, for it all to wrong .....
Back when I had my automotive workshop, part of the basic training was to get the new employee to put a car on the 2 post hoist and remove the wheels, then tell them to lay down on a creeper under the car while I lowered it on top of them ... as you can imagine, most refused outright, but some actually did it ...... for those, I told them to determine which parts would crush vital sections of their body if the car was lowered to the ground, then memorise that so you know what the risks are if you work under a vehicle without jack stands, just so you know how you will die ...... I never had to lower the hoist and all hoists have a safety lock system that ensures it can never fall ....

Many yrs later, I met one of the employees that had gone through the workshop and was now working as a contractor at a WA mine site. He had worked his way up to shift supervisor and he vividly remembered that hoist training event, and now, with strict OH&S supervision, including jack stands in place positioned by the trainee, repeated the same basic steps, including evaluating the positioning of the vehicle stands ..... a scary way to learn the basic survival skills, but so much better than the alternatives ...

Good morning everyone. It's already 30° here heading for 35+ so it's going to be a hide inside or go swimming in the lake day.
We had a road trip day yesty and met up with some old friends down at Nagambie. Lovely little town next to a big lake. It was pretty busy. A lot of travellers on the roads heading back to their big smokes. I think school starts again tomorrow.
Stay hydrated everybody, safe travels.
Cheers

Tell us how the shingles jab goes Bernie, can't wait till the attack on the left ear goes away, disturbs a good nights sleep, as soon as I roll onto my left side and the ear touches the pillow .... I'm awake :o All the white cream spots on the pillow case make it look like I've been getting rather amorous with it during the night  I know it's not that, haven't had that many shots in me for a while now

Good morning 25c, cloudy, overcast day, prediction 29c only maybe 1mm rain, no bowls for me today, feeling tired & still have my sun spots healing slowly.

Where’s Bernie & David 🤔🤔 both late starters today, hope all is ok.

Good morning everyone. Its a beautiful morning here at Mulwala. Don't think the same could be said for SE Qld. By the look of things Bernie will be in a boat soon. Lots of rain up his way, and probably lost power as well.
Are you back into the bowls yet Shirley?
We are going to head home next week, Terrie's mum is beginning to improve and we have some medical stuff to get done.
Stay safe everybody, watch out for the eejits on the roads.
Cheers

Good morning...later start...yes we had two power outages.
Not as much rain as the BoM would have us believe. We only got 36mm since yesterday arvo.
I had first of the Shingrix jabs, next in two months or six...
AS long as the other jab was more than 12 months...and be over 65...I just scrapped in
That was much of yesterday...everything was a hour late at the doctors.
keep safe.
Bernie.
I will put a photo of the Blue Healer Hotel up.

We only had two showers Yesterday,,,not much seeing the TV screen kept telling us of pending doom...
But I didn't do much just some cleaning up around the garden.
Nothing planned for today as yet, I do need to go to Biggenden for pill scripts .
Hot and humid at the moment all ready 26.4 here at the computer.
Keep safe.

Good morning everyone. I had the same trouble for a fair bit of yesty too, a bit early on, then after lunch. Came good after tea.
Went fishing up the canal in the arvo. Not much to report there.
Heading of to see a mate and then my little grandson. I reckon he'll be operating an excavator by the time he's 5.
Safe travels everybody, stay hydrated.
Cheers
