Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Just sent my latest post to the ether. Anyway, very late good morning from me. I'm back in Mulwala now, after having spent the last day or so trying to spoil the most spoilt kid in the family.
3 aunties and a nana are doing a far better job than you could possibly imagine. Driving around some of the highways in Vic are more than just a chore in the little Jimny, they are a downright challenge. I've seen a couple of potholes big enough to swallow a motorbike. Enjoy the cool of the evening, its gunna be bloody hot tomorrow. Safe travels.
Cheers

SInce our battery had the potential to explode, I can understand now why lithium batteries have to placed outside the house. That will be difficult in a motor home? Our lithium battery was under our bedroom, in the cellar, which started us on a whole lot of concerns. Yet another weird thing that's new with solar.
Sadly, those that write these regulations know next to nothing about the topic. Only certain lithium chemistries have a potential risk of catching fire, and the risk revolves around battery management practices. It is cheap and easy to limit the total battery voltage, it is complex and far more expensive to monitor and limit individual cell voltages and this is where the fire risk stems from, cells going over or under voltage.

Rather than jump on the battery manufacturers to up their game and build proper battery management systems and hold them responsible for every battery fire, they take the easy way out and put the pressure on at the installation end of the whole system, put it away from where it could cause damage if it went bang

I have reached my limit dealing with idiots who get well paid jobs yet have no actual knowledge of the subject or the problems involved, how can they enforce regulations that don't address the problem?

As far as the battery you have installed, get a fire proof and explosion containing box built to house the battery ...that way, if it does go bang, the house will not be damaged and you have proof for a legal person to built a case against the battery manufacturer .....

Today was laser work on the right eye where the cataract was removed and the new lens fitted. A painless process, hopefully it sorts the pains inside the eye in low light such as night driving and reading on the phone when I can't sleep

Now to get the left ear sorted. Stopped putting the cream on every hr or so and just let it dry out, it finally seems to be healing

Great advice, thanks Terry. I feel lucky to be able to ask for your esteemed thoughts and respect you more than I do those mad regulators. :D

Best of luck with the eyes mate. xxx

Bernie, I'm just an "older man" and not the oldest, although I did age a fair bit when I relocated to WA from Sunny/Wet Queensland.
I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

I slept in a whole hour...musta needed it :D
Bit more of the fence done...more to do.
Temp up to 37 yesterday...and I mowed...all the back and half the front...may finish it today once the dew dries.

Keep safe and cool.

Good morning everyone, its gunna be a warm one today. The BoM says it will make 40° today, so it will be a hide inside the house afternoon. I am going to catch up with an old workmate that lives just around the corner from the inlaws place here in Mulwala. He's getting a bit but still looks as healthy as ever.
Stay hydrated and stay out of the sun if you can. Have a top day, safe travels.
Cheers
