Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

Time to take the "British superiority" glasses off Keith, take a genuine look at what the British did to the people who were here originally ..... do you honestly think they are better off now than before the British set foot on the shores of this country?

T1 Terry
Well I certainly do. Your mocking of the british conveniently forgets what would have happened (and probably will when china gets around to invading) if some of the other peoples of the world had happened on the place first, would have been terra extincionus, not terra australus.
Maybe, who knows. If the original inhabitants had won the first battle, they might have been much better prepared for the next .... who knows, it might have ended up like Afghanistan in 1839 and again in 1878, then every war since ... yet Afghanistan is land locked, any attacking force would have to arrive by sea, then survived in a country the original inhabitants had survived in for generations, and beat a force that knew the country far better than the invading forces .... it would not have gone well.

Would the original inhabitants been worse off if they had won that first battle, seriously ..... They would have been backed by any and every anti "invading force at the time" bring them all for the ride to present day technology .... or maybe worse, they might not have cared about vaporising an enemy's cities the way the Americans did, but continued to do the same thing until the rest of the world went back to the stone age ......

Anyway, enough of this racial slurring rubbish, plenty of other platforms out there for you to go to your hearts content, the next will get a warning and the post deleted, any further and they will get a holiday from posting.
This cr*p has to stop ......

Well, if any dissention to your view get threats the discussion is not worth having anyway.
I think you are way out of step with the majority, as evidenced by the last referendum.

I see nothing in posts which are racist, just opinions and remember I have actual indigenous heritage and live the modern version of culture in my way of life. There's only one constant law in the universe, that's change and change means evolution, the outcome that change and evolution results in is determined by factors of controlled chaotic change. Which is something we have no idea of understanding, we either evolve through change or we get relegated to the past, as many species on our planet have. It would be the same throughout the universe and we either live with, develop and evolve with those changes, or we fail to adhere to universal law and end up as the past with no future.

Surely we are adult enough to have discussions revolving around contentious issues, I have my views on colonisation and abhor many aspects of what occurred. But I'm logical enough to accept and work with the current situation and results of past events to ensure I evolve past them.

We have to accept the majority of those originally brought to this country didn't come here by their own volition, they were transported forcibly and it was only a certain section of those who came here who carried out the atrocities upon the inhabitants and the vast majority weren't convicts. I have convict heritage going back to the first fleet, I know for a fact many of my European ancestors integrated with the native people. Then we have to accept almost 100% of those with indigenous heritage wouldn't be here if the British and other hadn't come here, we are all of mixed blood as is just about everyone on the planet. I haven't come across any cultural people who don't have a bit of ancestry from outside the country, did an ancestry DNA test and was surprised at the variety of my ancestry.

When discussing this subject with my people, always point out that this country has been colonised once, just about every other country has been invaded and colonised and invaded many times and that continues to day. All of these events including the colonisation of Aus and the atrocities committed, revolve around ideologies and nothing else. So in many ways we are lucky to not have been invaded and taken over by many cultures, just the one and that's given us a modern culture the envy of the world, but still with problems. There's nowhere else on this planet you can travel over 10000klms with reasonable safety or being confronted by different governance, cultures and ideologies, so we are far more advanced than most other places.

In reality this country has benefited by colonisation by continuing to be a stable united country, of course we would all like to return to the pristine environment that existed hundreds of years ago, but it was not all blissful and peaceful. For some reason many humans of all descriptions and races seem to have a bizarre belief that the fantasy land they mentally live in is real and everyone else should adhere to their fantasies. They are so locked into their delusional world, they want to force everyone else to adhere to their insanity and that always revolves round clinging to the past.

Racism is the inability to accept others for what they are and work with that reality, sadly ideologies live in some fantasy land mentality and can't stand not having their views accepted as reality, so are racist by definition and they become abusive and in the end violent. That's what happened when the British came here, the elites of their ruling ideology couldn't stand the life style, approach or culture of those here, so they tried to destroy it. If it wasn't for those who supported, integrated and bred with indigenous, the vast majority being ordinary settlers and convicts not addicted to the ruling ideology, there'd be no indigenous blood in the country.

But if you look at the current state of the planet, nature and humanities approach, it's fantasy that rules and not the reality. Otherwise we wouldn't have global warming, climate change, wars and we would have taken the best aspects of past indigenous culture and used it to develop a decent modern stable and sustainable culture.

That goes for those with indigenous heritage, we can't turn the clock back, we can't revert to the past and can only go forward as one people, or we get relegated to the past and become irrelevant to the future. It's interesting to note, those demanding the return of country into indigenous hands, 90% are urban based, live their entire lives in a western lifestyle and many are academics. Those living on their country aren't involved, they just want a better life standard, something to look forward to and peace in their lives.

They can't get that by alienating the majority of Australians, which is what the wanna be are trying to do and if we look around us, we will see there are a number of minorities demanding their agendas be accepted and over rule everyone else. All that will result from that is disaster, disaster is what we are seeing spreading round the planet and those creating the disasters all want to return to the past and or put their ideological fantasies in charge.

As you said, we all have our opinions and they don't always align with the rest of the world.
That's what makes us individuals with our own judgments and thoughts.
As to settlers in Australia, it is believed there was a minimum of 3 waves over the centuries, so Australia has been settled and invaded more than once.
I say invaded because there are historical accounts of how the current mobs hunted and killed the earlier Negrito race.
I did a DNA test to see why my auntie was saying "There's black in the family" ( She would never say where and who ? )
Sure enough, the DNA showed it but just which mob I have No Idea, I just know it's top of Aus somewhere.
