Dot, you are a sweety. Poor old dog is so old that he probably wouldn't survive a trip to visit you. I offered to hide him, but he really is not very friendly to me, so it would be a bit difficult dealing with him constantly snapping. Glad that you have found some garden ladies. If you offer to pay cash, more work will get done and as each one was a lady, they will probably give good value for money. xxxx
Happy year of the dragon. I was born in the year of the golden dragon, so apparently that is very special. It might help to explain my love of all things dragon.
I had a run in with a metal dragon today. It's on the wall near the front door and as I was trying to sand and pint the side panel, dragon was right in the way. I held his wings enough to get the job done. I am only starting on the side panel, next will be the front door. The panel has faded a lot more than the door, so it gets first treatment.
Today the kiln looked ok, one of the plates was not dropped into the mold enough. Will get back to that another day. I loaded up a couple of shelves with tiny glass flowers that are in the process of being squashed between heavy shelves and high temps. They come as tiny lumps, about a quarter of an inch tall. I often use them just as they come, but I like to flatten them for some of my more whacky things.

Poor dog ,A hole humans. Hope it all works out for the dog. Interesting day HOT HOT but apart from that, rang GP for Gman this morning as I reckon his inguinal hernia has busted through from the repair done 3 yrs ago, he got in this arvo and is down for bloods tomorrow am and ultrasound next week and will see the surgeon in 3 weeks. See just another thing getting old, never ending. Some good news re AJ's front yard, the digger man did come today and took off about 2 ft of crappy dirt and heaps of the kikua grass will now replace some of the dirt and now she can plant away as many of her plants in pots have been struggling. She now has to decide on the people that replied to my ad in the local fb pages (I got their numbers and handed them to her to suss em out) Time to hop into a nice cool shower and hit the sack. Take care everyone if on the roads and stay cool if you are in the heat zones. Goodnight everyone x

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
That kikuyu grass is great for SA lawns. It doesn't drop dead because it gets hot are misses a watering, and will quickly repair any damaged patches in the lawn .... just a bugga to keep out of the garden beds, but a pump pack of weed killer sprayed at ground level around the garden edges seems to work well, just don't let the spray drift in the wind, the lawn will self repair, eventually, the garden, not so muchDot wrote: ↑Mon Feb 12, 2024 10:54 pm Poor dog ,A hole humans. She doesn't want any lawn at all. The guy did a good job with his bob cat and newer soil. G has sprayed the back yard (grass) so that will be next to be gotten rid of, there will be all cottage garden in the front and raised veg gardens out the back (and the fruit trees) with white pebble pathways. We went around this arvo and while she was treating a friend she grabbed my foot and holy moly I screamed like a Banchi, she hit the right place alright of course everyone laughed (bast--ds)
Had a glass of bubbly and came home. Brian has just had his first pre med pill ready for his dental appointment in the morning. . Who has had an "interview" for the NDIS thing? Early night for me so Goodnight everyone x

Hope the fang cleaning went well with Brian, Dot. That garden is starting to sound more interesting now. xxxx
Computer decided that it was not doing internet work last night, making up for it now. Shirley are you sure we are living in the same regions? I am really feeling the heat and humidity at the moment. I was just too hot to bother going down to my shed today. Another day...
Happy Valentines Day to you all

If you are trying for NDIS Dot I think you left it to late. That is for under pension age. After that it is home care. Can take 12 months or more (did for me) and lots of hoops to jump through. Just have to think where you might be in a few years and use that as now.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
I haven't applied for NDIS Brian, the person doing it was the one that suggested we have the interview???? See her next Monday now. Well my Brian went off to the vet this morning for his teeth clean, no removals but they found something on the X/Ray that they were concerned about and have sent it off to the specialist dental vet for his review, should hear something tomorrow. ?? I picked him up at 4.30pm and took him straight out for a wee as he had not done one since early am. He would dig a little hole, squat then move on a few times, gave his tummy a few massages and finally he had a wee. Took him inside for a bit of tea and now he is curled up asleep on his chair, so now we await the specialists input. . G had a call from Flinders Private hosp this arvo to tell him he has an appointment 12th March for the 24hr test to see if they can pin point his persistent cough, bet they won't find anything. They strap a monitor around his chest and also his neck (not a noose)
and what ever they receive directly downloaded from the machine. Hope you all had a nice Valentines Day, sounds like David got the ring of fire.
Bus rego arrived today Those in Victoria hope you are away from those fires and storms. Times like that when the good ol Genny comes in handy hey? No sun for solar either.
Take care and goodnight everyone x

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Be careful Dot, Brian might need to go to the orthodontist for braces. Did you say you are about to win lotto? Maybe some wishful thinking wouldn't hurt. xxxx
Had a check up with the quack today. All tests have come back fine. Just needed to add yet another pill to the regime and eat less fatty foods. I hear that one all the time. I did a ww shop and bought some mince to make a big batch of sausage rolls. 2 kilos of meat and three kilos of grated veg. The mince was a different brand, still said Aussie beef and it looked pretty good. I should have known better, because it was a bit cheaper than the heart one. The snag rolls are fairly fatty, so there went the quacks advice in the first meal after we saw him!
Too busy for the shed. I am not going there so often, for a while. I am waiting for some fancy glass to arrive. Some from Croatia and some from Perth. Don't think either package will be here as soon as I would like.

I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.
