Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Certainly doesn’t look good George, even worse enlarged, hope it heals quickly, amazing the procedures that are able to be performed these days.

Bruce was diagnosed with wet macular degeneration in his right eye y’day, started injections immediately Vabysmo.

I am aadvised to apply an icepack on it intermittently for 10-20 minutes/hour for the 1st few days, also, "avoid heavy lifting /strenuous activities /exercise /bending forwards for 2-4 weeks as this could cause the wound to breakdown during the healing process"

I also bit my top lip while it was anaesthetised and it is quite painful and still partly numb.

He is gunna love that ;) There are two different numbing drops, one is faster acting and last longer, but if the eye is sensitive, like mine became, it's like someone continually pouring petrol in the eyes for around 24 hrs after the numbing wears off.
So, if Bruce feels any pain in the eye when blinking after the anaesthetic drops wear off, request the less violent drops on the next visit.
The first drops could sting like crazy, for around 10 secs, so make sure he has a tissue ready, these are to dilate the eyes so they can take better photos, the other drops are virtually pain free ..... it does require concentration to keep the eye still, but the photo session is good practice for it 8-)
He will be amazed just how much better his vision is a day after the needle, mine are out to 8 week intervals now, started at 4 weeks and I really knew I needed another shot by week 3, now it's really just that is when the appointment is, but I can still see better a few hrs after the needles ..... I get a needle in both eyes

Terry, Bruce has had a massive bleed in the right eye, the injections are to absorb/dry up the blood & seal off any leaking blood vessels, they will be permanent eventually hopefully only needed about every 3 mths., fortunately his left eye is good & the specialist told us that it isn’t likely to affect his good eye.
First injection session was ok, the eye is very gritty/ like sand in it today, annoying, Bruce told me that he already has better vision in it.

You know what they say, no photo, didn't happen.

So, here is a photo of yesterday's lower eye lift op.

Good morning everyone. Another beautiful day in paradise awaits us. So far this week I've had the full body spot check, first shot of the shingles vacc and also had a full on cardiac stress test. I didn't collapse so I must have passed, I think. Cardiologist next week for full result. Terrie also got her sewing machine serviced. We had a full on day, left home at 7am back at 5pm. Today we are off to Brissy for some culture.
Apart from that, not much to report.
Happy hump day everybody, safe travels.
Cheers
David
