Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Dot, the final decisions are yours. It's your body. How much longer can you continue to asphyxiate on food and then need at least a full day to recover?. Take care mate, good luck with Brien's results.xxxx

Had a super hot day today, with humidity way up there. Finally we had been enjoying happy hours and the storm started up. The humidity disappeared, great light show with timpani accompaniment. Great wind storm for half an hour followed by five minutes of little rain shower. None of the super sized hail that had been predicted.

It's a little bit cooler now, so hoping for a nicer day tomorrow.

We did a quick vinnies and sallies run (more books needed). They were both airconditioned, so we did a slow wander around the shops. That was followed with lunch at the local boaties club (Shirley, the 16's not the yachty). Lunch was really surprisingly good. Lovely food and almost reasonable in price, so happy there. A bit of bread for tea tonight. We are both still full of lunch.

stay safe out there

Deborah, have always found the 16 footers good for food, my eldest son had his wedding reception there about 20yrs., ago, it was excellent, dedicated room.✅✅

I was asked to fill in & finish off a triples competition game of bowls y’day at 3pm, needless to say it was 43c on the green so the finish was called off, I’d already told Bruce I won’t be playing in this heat, suppose to finish it Tuesday morning.

Good decision I reckon Shirley.
I spent half of yesty and most of today outside, trying to get some trimming finished. Not one of my best decisions, can't believe how humid it was. We had planned on heading up to Toowoomba for the speedway tonight, but that was cancelled after they had overnight and early morning rain.

Dot, how's Brian? xxxx

Keith, I loved the quote that we had an analog childhood with a digital adulthood. Says it all mate.xx

Shirley wise decision to move off the green. It was such a yucko day, not just hot n humid but then a humungous storm followed. Yes the 16's have a great reputation for a good feed. I remember when that club started off in basically a tin shed opposite the baths. We lived close by. Now the 16's is a huge conglomerate with a choice of three different styles of eating and lots of happy noise.

Last night we were totally invaded by huge winds and the cold dropped fast. Not a lot of sleep was had with a swaying van. It was tethered properly, just uncomfortable.
Along with cold and rain it was a pretty miserable day. We did some van visits etc and then had happy hours. Too wet for disc bowls. We were able to meet in an indoor area, so it was much more pleasant than being out doors. I won a chocolate fountain in the raffle, and had several interesting suggestions of how to use it. Daughter will love it.

Much of the group will go home tomorrow, but some of us don't have to rush so we stay an extra night for some more time together, The leftovers will have a long lunch at a local pub and probably wont have the need to cook dinner tomorrow either.

Rang the vet as requested. Brian is just about back to his old self ie coming into bed with me, drinking his water from his own glass (I can see how much he is drinking) and he purrs when cuddled up next to me. The vet said they are still waiting for the dental vet but she believes what ever it is is not a nasty. So that was enough for us to settle down and the anxiety to lessen. She started to go on about having more X/rays and ? dental work and maybe to see the specialist vets but if he is not in pain they can go suck an egg or. It all depends on what the dental vet has to say to. When she mentioned the word NON MALIGNANT that was all we needed to hear for now. Anyway we went around to AJ's to celebrate her birthday, I got a bit tipsy  ate all the fruit and most of the cheese and cheescake and left the crackers nuts and raw vegs to the others. G did a bit of whipper snippering out the front. We gave her a glue gun as a present   Rest of the day has been void of any activity. Bought the shade cloth (awnings) for both sides of the bus, will put them on while it is hot so we can be in the bus getting all ship shape again. Have not used them since 2014 when we had the gathering in WA. (40 mile beach) That was when I had my back op then teamed up with Chuck and Trina for the nulla crossing and the crazy forum people all had a go at shaving my head for the leukemia foundation, that was a fantastic adventure would love to do that again!. We must try to get a gathering up soon. Off to bed now as I am feeling dozey. Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Tanks x :D
Just a few of the memories we shared.

Dot, hope you wake up with a clear head. Great news about Brian's remarkable recovery xxxx

Our friend who left in a hurry yesterday, was taken to the big hospital, where they put in a stent almost as soon as they arrived. She is doing really well and will probably go home tomorrow. Sometimes, modern medicine is a blessing.
Her hubbie is certain that she missed a bullet.
Our day was lovely and sunny, so very much a happier day. We all enjoyed lunch at the pub, followed by very long pleasant happy hours. Home tomorrow.

Nice to hear you had a good time Deborah. I actually woke up and even got up around 9am because AJ was bringing the left over carrot cake for George. . Would you believe last night I went onto market place and saw an old kitchen dresser AJ was looking for it had just been listed 3 am so I sent the seller a message saying i would buy it so consider it sold. Asked for his ph numb to arrange pick up. No response so I messaged again 8.50am He responded by saying "someone was coming to look at it at 0930hrs and he would let me know if it was still available" WTF? I got back to him saying I had told him it was sold at 3am. He responded "that when the item has been paid for is when it is sold." I then said If I had of known that I would of come down at 3am to somewhere in Adelaide to pay you" Never heard back. Another womble. Can't get over the down right fools lately. Anyway, I decided to do some cooking in the slow cooker, hmm it would not go so back to the good old dream pot. Had some good news today as well, our forum member in WA that I told you about and he was told he is lucky to have a few mths left, well he got a new specialist and had different tests, turns out his heart is not as bad as he was led to believe and he has been put on the lung transplant list so looks like he has been given another chance :) he is off to see his bro in the states next mth that was planned when he thought he was dying. So nice to hear some great news for a change. Watched the V8's today the reds are still winning on the mountain. Our underground water tank stinks now and again ? filters all cleaned and renewed every couple of months and nothing nasty in it either (possums ,bodies etc) Taking a sample to the irrigation people to test for us. Take care everyone and goodnight x :D Goodnight 2foot6 aka Peter x :D

Dot, checking market place at 3am is not a good way to get some sleep...just thinking out loud ;) Often the op shops around here will have the lovely older styles of furniture so keep your eyes out. You never know when one will turn up xxxx

We had a safe return to home and as it was such a hot day, after we planted the van in the back yard, we both just stopped. All that excitement has made us very tired.

Success story of the year. Tonight I found a big refund amount in our bank account from the LG solar battery refund. Wonders will never cease. Now the search for a replacement battery that is safe, is our next stress.

Deborah, I'm glad your perseverance has paid off. They have only just started advertising the recall of all LG house batteries up here.
There are a couple of companies offering a similar type of service now. Not sure what brand of equipment they are using though.
Cheers

Dot, get some good sleep xxxx

David, all I can say is that there will never be any products made by LG in our house. I do understand that the technology in washing machines and fridges is totally different. The way the company treated us was just plain disgusting. Until I threatened to make some phone calls to channel 9 and the Consumer mob, I don't think we would have had any assistance at all. They really are not fun to deal with.

I did the annual eye test thing today. Lo and behold, no new specs needed. Another fortune saved. Very happy with that result.
I think I may have to spend some quality time in my shed soon. I really need to fill up some spaces on my stall.
