I was suffering some heartburn and burping a little while ago but was able to alleviate it by having a swig of Gaviscon Dual Action during the day and before bed. I nolonger have the problem.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
You are right Dave, alcohol is a poison so if you are going to take poison it is best to take the good quality stuff, less manufacturing side effects, but I guess you are finding that out. Or, make you own, not as hard as it sounds. Local Italian mechanic can't drink more than a glass of wine, we give him a bottle and he scoffs the lot. We don't add much sulphur. You can get stuff to do just about anything with wine, even turn red to white or shiraz to chardonnay ! We don't use any of that shite though. Picking 3 varieties tomorrow, gunna be busy for next few weeks...............

Bill, I'm going to have to come visit you when I get a chance. My GP has similar genetics to me, and he reckons that sulphites are trying to kill us. Low or no sulphite wine is hard to find. Next time I'm up your way...........
Cheers

David have you ever tried going thru to Killarney past the Queen Mary Falls rather that Cunninghams Gap or Toowoomba? Probably a goat track?

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
The Queen Mary's Falls end of that road is pretty good going, Bruce. But it pretty ordinary from Rathdowney through to Killarney. I've done it in a car a few times, but it's not much fun in the Winny with the trailer flapping off the back. Having said that, it's a great tourist drive, with a few top spots for scenic views.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Dot, how's your Kiwi mates health? The house going in will help her blood to stop boiling a bit. It looks very interesting. I hope there is no more extra stress for her xxxx
Today was so hot that it wasn't even nice to open the door. So we stayed indoors. I decided that the predicted storms were making it unsafe to fire up the kiln, with blackouts and yes, we did get some blackouts, along with huge storms. So good decision.
Instead, I started on some business / display stuff. I finally had a delivery of some fancy foam and stick on velvet to make up nice new boxes for displaying my jewellery. I only bought 2 boxes, so had to re-use the better ones . I have vaccuumed out the bases of the older boxes and then added the newer velvet covered, foam sheets. So far, I have rebuilt about a third of the display boxes. I have just finished putting in another order with temu to get the rest of the boxes needed to complete the job. The rest of the job will have to wait for the next delivery and for us to return from Glen Innes next month and it will be done fairly easily, once the new boxes arrive. Lucky our tenant is happy to collect deliveries off our front porch for me. It was also a good chance to get some of the boxes sorted into colour groups and to tidy up the display generally. Not a waisted day, stuck inside at all. Thanks for the lack of solar back up, I was not a happy person for a while.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
OMG I spent 2 hrs on the ph to NZ tonight, Sue us still waiting for surgery, reason being "not enough Specialists" she is on the urgent list BUT ha ha like here. The house (addition ) is going great guns, piles are now concreted in and tomorrow they will lower the house onto them. Around at AJ's there was, G,Me, friend and wife (from Mannum) the builder, the tiler, and the garden man and AJ Same again tomorrow apart from AJ (working in town) but the man who is coming to use the post hole digger so G and I will be following and chucking water in the holes so then ready for the plants to be chucked in the holes by AJ when she gets home. I lost it this arvo when once again G rang the vets to see what the older vet thought of the X/R and he was going to ring us yesterday = NO Today he rang again and after I got started after the hitler manager said that the specialist would tell her ideas for $200 but we really should go to see the specialist. That did it I exploded to the point of sheer anger let to tears. Told her I did not send the x/r and they didn't ask me. They non of the vets knew what they were looking at and I said I would of thought they would like to know what it is for their own education. Then when the receptionist said about the $$ I let it rip about sending us to specialist for Scans, bloods, more x/rays and so on and on that the lot of them are not concerned about the animal, or the owners concern but only interested in lining their own pockets. It was then that G took the ph and said goodbye. WTF is the matter with people these days. Did notice there was a missed call from the vet about an hr after I went off. They can get stuffed, I have been going to that vet clinic for the past 30 odd years. Sent the x/r to my Claytons daughter, she is a radiographer and will also ask the others she works with.. Off to bed e buys now so Goodnight everyone x
Goodnight Shirley x

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Dot, that vet does not sound genuine at all. Hope you get some worth while answers for Brian and get some closure for him. xxxx
Today was a chiro morning for me. That was wonderful and worth getting up early to have that visit.
Came home in the heat, but not as stormy looking. Went down to the shed and loaded up as many tiny sparkly bits as would fit. The next effort was to balance a tiny piece of clear glass on top of each piece. More difficult that it sounds, very slippery bits. A couple of hours later, I came up to the house and cooked up a delicious dinner. Started to clean out the freezer (a little bit), so we had a yummo roast leg of lamb tonight and the same will happen in various disguises for a few more meals too.
I had an interesting chat with our solar man. I asked was it possible to use non lithium battery with the current equipment. He will do some more research for us. I suspect that we put in the lithium batteries before they have been properly researched for the domestic market. As usual, I was just ahead of my time.
