Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Good morning everyone. We have had a few showers overnight, and are heading for a top of 28° with maybe a few more showers coming later on.
I'm doing a bit more paid work this week, so I'll have to leave the walking up to you, Bernie.
Have a great day everybody. Safe travels.
Cheers

Pop a male extension cord plug on the wires you intend to connect to the inverter & just plug an extension cord into that from the house Bernie. The inverter will have a couple of sockets anyway although Dave will tell you it MUST be direct connected. (internally I presume?)
It's only/mostly the really big ones that have facility for direct connection anyway. Victron over 3000w etc.

Good morning All. Clear sky and 21* with 27* and rain showers forecast for 11am.
I managed to get the bus roof work completed but also needed to sand and repaint the guttering, 2 coats, what a wearying task.
When the rain stops I need to get back to applying some rust converter etc to a few areas in need.

Morning David.
I can't find a spec for locked rotor current or run current for fridge Bernie, but it doesn't say "inverter technology" anywhere, so you can be confident it doesn't have it, it will suffer locked rotor start up current draw.
Here is a video to give you an idea of what I'm talking about https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=9tW0a6iEOEE this is a high quality motor, you can be sure the Chinese built fridge is using the lowest cost compressor motor they can find, so I'd go with the 10 times run current required from the inverter. If you have an AC clamp meter, you can separate out the active wire from an extension lead and plug the fridge into the mains so you can see the run current .....

The fridge does look like an inverter one by comparing economy stars today. Dif makers refer to it by diff names.
My LG refers ti inverter linear.
Anyway I grabbed a shot of the label inside the door.

This is the fridge I put in the Golf Caravan.
Its a Stirling from Aldi's Non inverter I forget the capacity...but bigger than the new one.
I had 250w solar on the roof plus another on the car. I had a 110ah lithium and ran it through a 600w projector inverter not PSW. We never had any problems with it.
So I'm not expecting any thing different with the new one...when it arrives.
The inverter still on the shopping list will only powering the fridge. Nothing else...
I also put a Hisence in the Isuzu also non inverter and no problems with it as well.
Bernie...

Good afternoon, been an overcast day tried to rain a few times but didn’t last long.

Bruce had his second eye injection today, feels like he has had a welding flash very uncomfortable so he’s been lying down, the first one was a few days before it settled down, hopefully it may improve his vision, time will tell.

Yes Bernie we went Kayaking over to Point Wolstoncroft & walked along the shoreline, found an old tree stump cut off at ground level that appears to have petrified, it’s in the tidal zone, need to take a photo of it, very interesting for the boys.

I looked that model fridge just around Christmas time when buying a bigger fridge for our house. The salesman reckons they use inverter technology as the motor has a ten year warranty. I'm very interested to see what Bernie discovers when his arrives. It will fit the hole our crappy 3way is now occupying.
Bernie, I'm going to do a mock up of that switch in the morning and send you a pic or two.
Cheers
