Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Good morning everyone, looks like I'm in for an early start today. No rolling over and going back to sleep. The man says we are in for some rain today, but I've heard that before. Just in case he's right though, I cleaned out the back spouting yesty arvo.
Bernie I'll send you some pics in an hour or so.
Happy hump day everybody, have a top day.
Cheers

Good morning everyone.
I had a shit of a night...I went to the surgery yesterday for my second shingles jab, they also gave me the flu shot. About 11.30pm I woke up shivering, I had pain in both shoulders elbow's and knees I got up and put a tee-shirt on...that helped a bit. I have never had a reaction to any needles...I will ring the surgery to pass this on.
Carol said it wasn't a cold night.

But the rotary switch is giving lots of people nightmares :D :D

Thanks for sharing the canoeing/ Kayaking Shirley, the kids move on too quick...And you know the rules...no petrified tree in a photo it didn't happen    ;)
Thanks for that photo of the fridge thingys Bruce.
I'm awaiting your call Dave
Keep safe.
Bernie.
Opps I forgot to tell everyone we had a flying visit from Kay and Bruce on Monday.

Great piece of detective work there Bruce, didn't even think about asking Bernie to take a photo of the specs label.

From the label, run current is .6 amps @ 240vac, x 10 is 6 amps @ 240vac =1440w so it would need a 1500w inverter with no transformer to start and drop back to 150w to run. An inverter with a toroidal inverter has a 100% overload capacity for 20 secs, a high quality model of the same design has a 150% over load capacity for 20 secs .....
So a cheapy would need to be 1500w output, so an evilbay unit would need to be plus 10% min to allow for losses, they use the input required power at full load to make the numbers look bigger ...

A moderate quality inverter like a Victron would need to be 750w min, I believe they make an 800va unit with a 650w continuous output and 1500w peak, this would do the job.

A high quality inverter like a Selectronics, Mastervolt and for the life of me I can't remember the other top of the line inverter ...... probably not good value for money considering the job you need it for, but an investment for life none the less.

It is an inverter model Terry.
160w defrost will be max consumption.
Double that for safety so I'm betting a 300w inverter will fit the bill.
Make it a 500w job just in case a shaver or ph charger accidently gets plugged in .............

Why do some photos turn 90* when I click on them to enlarge? I think it happens mostly with photos taken with a phone.

George I think it's so you get exercise of your neck muscles!
Bugger when you over balance & fall off your chair tho!
I think the forum software is designed to believe the short & long side should go where they believe it should go unless it's instructed otherwise.
Computer screens are wider than across whereas the ph are taller than wider.
Always been a bugbear.

Good Evening Bernie, you will have to wait until next weekend, weather permitting for me to get a photo of what I think is a petrified tree stump, wouldn’t kayak over to the location alone, isolated shoreline private property.
I will post my petrified log that my sister gave me over 40 years ago, members liked it on a fossicking site, some folk here may find it of interest.

Good morning everyone. It looks like the east coast is going to get a bit wet for the next few days. Nigel told me. The ground outside is shiny so it's started already.
Your petrified wood looks like a good talking point Shirley.
I hope you have your switch sorted Bernie. The ones I have are different to yours.
Have a top day everybody , safe travels
Cheers

Morning everybody.
Thanks Shirley...I have a piece of petrified wood here somewhere. If I find it I will put a pic up.
Yes Dave finally got it sorted...I found a forum that were talking about the very same switch and put pic up showing the wires and numbers...so easy.
I have awoke in excellent health this morning...no signs of yesterdays ailments, must be all out of the system :?: :?:
Today I will put the motorhome back together again...looks like a war zone. Still no word from the goodguys regarding fridge arrival....maybe today.
I'm about to go for my morning walk.
Stay safe.
Bernie.
