Good morning.
I tipped out 35mm from the gauge yesterday morning...more than a bit of fluid
I have arranged the use of next doors cattle truck so I can finish the shad shed to council requirements
Windy with no rain to mention yesterday, but the ground is still wet...Secom's rd. is closed causeway underwater.
Too wet to mow...maybe later I can finish the back yard.
I will put a picture of the little rat Kangaroo's in my front lawn. Taken by the neighbor.

Good morning 13c, no rain today, prediction 23c, the weather did clear y’day very little rain, grey skies, overcast & occasional bursts of sunshine. The water level in the lake is high, lapping under the jetties.

Never heard of disposable lenses Terry, good luck with removing it.
The 2nd eye injection doesn’t appear to have improved Bruce’s sight in his eye, next one due 13th May, we live in hope, he has the same problem as you trying to focus with two very different depth of fields, I screwed some nuts back into a calculator y’day for him.

Are the rat Kangaroos actually a species of rat Bernie ? Are they as bad as having normal rats?

Another unsuccessful attempt to remove the contact last night, so off to Spec Savers first thing. Straight in to see the eye man, looking in his scope thingy, yes, it is still in there, washed his hands, turn my head, look down, look right, look left, there you are ... it was on the tip of his finger ..... I guess it's easy when you can see
At the moment I have no plans to try them again, the last thing I need is to stuff up my eye while we are away, then we would have a motorhome with no driver. The trial said they worked, I could read and work without glasses, I could still see to drive, so I think that says I'll be ok with a reading lens when they do the cataract surgery on the left eye when we return from our trip.

Terry, when my Terrie was a kid, they told her she was blind in one eye,and nothing could be done. Fast forward 50 years and she had an eye test for some reason. The eye specialist asked if she wanted to get her cataract fixed so she could see properly. er what,. So anyway she had it done and they put in a 1.5 lens so now she reads with one eye and looks through the other, if that makes sense. It's all just a matter of getting accustomed to it I suppose.

I believe that is what they intend to do with me, but I'm not sure if there is a prescription type lens they fit or if the eye just has to learn how to read through the new lens, the right eye lens certainly can't adapt to being able to read
Apparently, I also have an Astigmatism in the left eye, but reading up on it via a Google search, the replacement lens will fix that

I used disposable contact lenses for years after switching from permanent lenses in the 1970s.
They were thinner than permanent lenses and disposing of them after a week lowered the risk of an infection.
When I had cataract surgery on both eyes in the 1990s I was offered bifocal lenses — concentric rings of distance and reading focus.
This was a new innovation at the time.
When I asked the success rate, the answer was 95% of people got used to ignoring the distance image when they wanted to read & vice versa.
I figured that with my luck I’d be in the 5%, so I opted for distance vision and reading glasses.

Sounds good Ray, Bruce had a massive bleed into the eye, he had cataract surgery on it about a year ago, the specialist did have a problem with removing the cataract & inserting the lense , diagnosed with wet macular degeneration, apparently the injections will be ongoing, the other eye is good after the surgery, he probably needs new glasses again, thought we would wait until he has had a coupe more injections.
Disposable lenses have been available for ages just didn’t know that you could get same.

Morning everyone.
Shad shed has the required strapping done and the council building inspector booked in for today...fingers xed...

One of the neighbor's came over and helped me...that made a big difference.

That was all I done for the day...I came back from my walk with a stich in my left side, climbing up and down ladders and up and down the borrowed truck didn't help any

Talking about eye's my right eye that was effected by shingles can see the night light in the bedroom better than the unaffected eye...go figure...it's a red light
