Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Good afternoon everyone. We have just passed through Willowtree, a bit south of Tamworth. Terrie is driving, so I'm have a snooze in the passenger seat. She'll do the steering for a cuppla hours then I'll takeover til we get past Sydney somewhere and pull up for the night. It's a long time since I've travelled this far south on the New England highway.
I reckon it will be a while before we come back this way. It's worse than the Newell. But at least the rain has stopped and the sun is shining.
Have a top day everybody, safe travels all those out and about.
Cheers
David

Hi Dave, at least there is some scenery that way. You are about to climb a hill, or are going down it.

Good morning.
FINALY my shed has been given the tick of approval... :D :D :D
That only took about two years...not all councils fault...but engineers
Council get cranky when I tell then all they should look after is gutters and garbage ;)
We had showers on and off nothing in them except being a nuisance, just enough to stop me mowing the back yard...maybe today.
Except for a chat with one of the neighbors nothing of importance went on.
Safe trip Dave....I know Willow Tree well, good free camp at the bottom of the hill George mentioned.
Keep safe.
Bernie.
Bugged up there Dave I was thinking of Wallabadah.🤔😁

We arrived here yesty arvo after a bit of a wander down from our overnight stop in Gunning S/g.

There was a massive turnout for the Anzac Day Dawn Service on the forecourt of the Mulwala RSL this morning. The largest crowd I've ever seen there. A good mix of young and old came to pay their respect to those that have served our country.
Lest we forget.
Cheers

Good morning All. The bus/MH is out of the driveway, topped up with diesel at $1.94/l and parked up the road ready to head south on Sunday.

Cloudy sky and 16*. It was quite light and very little traffic at 6:30 when I backed the bus/MH out.

Morning all, I lost my father indirectly from the after effects of the war, I was a Legatee and marched in the Wollongong parades until I was old enough to go into the RSL after the service .... and that was the last one I ever attended .... I remember them all in my own way, but that one trip to the RSL after the march put me off them for life .......

A few more jobs are semi ticked off, a weeks work to do in 3 days, and that includes the departure day ... I'm guessing a number of the jobs will have to be done on the road.

Strange...my Dad was a returned WW2 and POW veteran, also back in the 50s the president of the Padstow RSL... never attended a dawn service or marched.
Carol's Dad also a returned WW2 veteran also never attended a dawn service or marched.
