Not sure where to post this but we have been camped at Riverlander’s (John and Faye) in Loxton for several nights. Dot and George drove 2.5 hours each way to catch up with us all for lunch today. Top effort thanks.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Well boys and girls I was awake and into the shower by 5.30 am. On the road by 7.30am and the sun was so orange and bright but the fog along the Murray was really thick hardly able to see car lights in front of you. Got to Loxton around 10am, hugs all around great to catch up with Lesley and Erich after quite a while and Faye and John and Miss Evie. Their garden is looking beautiful and the cortina is rather spiffy. The weather was just right, lunch was had Soup and fresh damper followed by apple pie and cream. Left for home around 3pm and pulled in as the sun was setting and the cold making itself felt. Brian was still in the same curled up position as when we left he had his tea bought to him in his bed and promptly went back to sleep. Pretty countryside is Italy. My M8 Flo has Covid, got it from work (hospital) Deborah the hospital notes are not like they used to be ie handwritten and signed by a real person, lots of stuff not being filled in.? How are your eyes NC George? Pretty knackered now, my eyes are slowly shutting so I think an early night is warranted. Take care all you sickies. Goodnight everyone x

To a friends house the road is never long, great drive Dot & George & great photo Lesley, good to put faces to folk you’ve never met but feel you know.
I’m off to bowls tomorrow, needed a marker, a few of the girls are absent gone for a trip on the Ghan, I’ve been busy with organising some home improvement etc., a pleasant day is predicted 20c & no rain.
Goodnight sweet dreams.

Looks like there are wheels under Lesley's chair doesn't it, but if you enlarge the photo, it is just the way the legs are bent to form a full length foot between the front and back leg.
Looks like the pink is fading out of the hair Dottie, did you get any offers from the "Let's be Friends"

Lovely to see you all again in a photo. Even good to see Dotty, you are looking a lot healthier mate xxxx
Shirley, hope you enjoy your day on the green, looks like the weather should be lovely for you.
We had a very uneventful trip home. Don't know why we seem to hear the stoooopid people on the radio, when we get to around Raymond Terrace. It just seems like the same moron everytime we are near there. He tries to mock migrant speech patterns and then he goes off in a high falsetto squeaky voice that has to be heard to believe. Today he kept asking everyone if they had asked their Mum if they could play on the roads. Truly one of this towns nutters I think.
The van is unpacked and parked back down the yard out of sight, so we are definitely back in the lair.

Deborah, that moron on the UHF seems to have relations within 40km of every major town on the east coast. Can get rather annoying.
I took me a couple of looks to figure out that Erich was flying a drone. Its great to see some old friends and others you haven't met yet.

Well spotted Dave. Kay wanted to know why I looked worried. Told her I was trying not to look fat! Faye and John (Riverlander) are great hosts and their property is stunning. We first visited them in 2012 following our first CF UWE in Kerang. We were in convoy with Kay and Bruce, Chuck and Catriona and Berny and Jan, en route to the Groovy Memorial UWE in Crystal Brook. John generously invited us all to stay even though none of us had met. The changes they have made to the property in the intervening years are stunning.supersparky wrote: ↑Thu May 23, 2024 8:55 pm Deborah, that moron on the UHF seems to have relations within 40km of every major town on the east coast.
