We arrived at the Grenfell Rail Station free camp in the dark last night. I knew there was a lot of water laying around, but stepped outside this morning to drop the car off the trailer and ..... ah ...... got back in and changed out of the wet shoes and socks

Actually managed to turn the rig around in the lake and get back on the hard ground and drove up the main street to drop Margaret off at the shops. Just love country towns, pull up in the middle of the street and everyone just waits, no horn honking etc .... found a spot I could put the rig and get the car off, drove up to pick the lady up, she drove and decided a refuel was the first thing required ..... I was expecting to return to a ticket under the wiper or an irate police officer or neighbour who I'd unintentionally blocked access, but no, all good. Put the trailer on the car and drove both separately to our friend's place ....... and the rain started again and hasn't really stopped since about lunch time. This might be an "interesting" street carnival ....
"it'll all be ruined" said Hanrahan "if this rain don't stop"
Seemed fitting, it being a Henry Lawson weekend festival and all
