Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Dot, just the energy to walk the garden is a great start. You know the drill, baby steps until you are back to "normal". I know that you will never be "normal", but whatever your normal is would be a good start.  xxxx

Shirley, we have been seeing a slow down in spending for a while. The most difficult fairs, have been the ones run by this crystals mob. The weirdos (mystics) seem to get most of the money from the crowds. There were a lot of people through the doors, just not ones wanting to spend their money with us. We may choose not to do many more of the crystals events, but we will go to Gosford with them and possibly Dubbo, later in the year. We did really well at Dubbo last year, so worth a re-visit. We plan to go to another one in Penrith area with the same man who we worked at Windsor in April. He doesn't have any weirdos and we usually do ok with his markets. Time will tell with us. As we are trying new places this year, some places won't get a return visit next year, unless the press stops telling everyone that they are broke. The tatts and clothes tell us something very different.

Our drive back to the lake was uneventful, just like it should be. Van was unloaded and put down the back in record time. We needed to thaw out. It was one of the days where everything just happened right. Hitching up to my rav 4 was painless and then moving the van around the yard to it's resting place happened in one move. Often we can take over an hour to get the van tucked away in it's corner, so it was a good day all round.

Tonight we enjoyed the gas heater and just stopping, was so good.

nighty night xxx

Love the early mornings, when it's quiet and normally peaceful and tend to go to bed pretty early at night because TV turns me off and not much else to do when not playing. Now it's dark by 5, can't do anything outside and with rain just about every day, pretty wet to work other than in the workshop and have done most things.

Take my dogs for walks before sunrise and we watch the night animals freaking out when we appear and the birds waking up, the dogs are always on alert as they watch intently without chasing them. Sometimes think they are wondering why the animals are running when they have no intention of chasing them, because they are to intent on having tugs of war or chasing sticks I throw, then trying to make me run faster to get the sticks off them. Little Bindi likes to hide her sticks then wants me to find them and if I don't she trots to where it's hidden pointing at it with her nose until I see it, then she runs off awaiting the throw and tries to catch it in the air. Problem is having one eye, sometimes she misses where it is and it lands on her, that's why throw the sticks flat, so if it hits her it won't hurt her. She has a pile of sticks outside the door to the house and picks which one she wants when we start to head off.

Dax the arthritic one, has come a long way since taking meat out of his diet, now he runs along beside me swinging a stick challenging me to grab it. If we are going down a hill, he is now running faster than I can keep up and is extremely pleased with himself. It also helps with my fitness, in the past I mostly walked when Dax was with me so he wouldn't get left behind, now it's game on and catch me if you can. Gave them some organic chicken yesterday given to me by a friend, haven't eaten chook for over a year, so made some nice fried chicken patties in avocado oil and they loved it, so did I.

NP loved your daily routine description apart from the getting up time, you can keep that for yourself M8.
Shirley take the $$ any time over dust collectors. I was up early today did some more washing and pulled a few weeds out. G ran the bus and I noticed one of the reversing lights was not working, another job to add to the list.
My 6 weekly Dental appointment has been cancelled until end of July as Dentist is crook, I think her dad fell off his perch. Not going to bed just yet but I do have a ph call to make and that will take a couple of hours  Watched about 5 minutes of the Darwin V8's but the cars all looked the same so that's finished them for me. Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight 2ft 6'' x :D

Dot, you have more energy than me today. Great to read your adventures in recuperation. xxxx

I woke very early and was freezing. We have a very thick doona and furry quilt on the bed, so it wasn't the lack of bed clothes. I was just so cold that I put the electric blanket back on. That helped me get back to sleep. Our plumber came today to have a look at the gas heater and he says that the lack of flames when the heater is turned to medium heat doesn't look good, but that seems to be the way the company have made the fake logs to totally cover the flames. The flames are there, just in disguise. They have changed the sizes of the fake logs and it aint pretty. I will be contacting them as soon as they get the report from our plumber/gas fitter. He was here for a few hours. It's a shame that they thought this would be an improvement. I don't really expect they will do anything to make it better.

Once plumber left, I was so washed out and looking for quiet things to do. I checked some insurance premiums, to get the "best deals" apia is still the winner for what we need. I did some more administrivia , had lunch and then needed a rest. I don't do nanny naps, so this was different.

Sweet dreams xxx

I have not much memory of today apart that I went to AJ for a treatment and the usual gaggle of tradespeople were there, a person trying to hang pics on walls, an arborist cutting a huge tree to a manageable size and another man digging and planting more plants. Hate to see the place when all the plants are grown. George bought his weed sprayer, battery clippers and a couple of saws back home (until next time  )Got home and the eye lids fell down while G made some room in his shed for more stuff. Had some rain this evening and the weeds are liking it as well. Off to bed e buys now so Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Bernie x :D

Gee Dot, AJ seems to be spending a lot on trades. I don't envy her having a house full of tradies as often as she sounds like she does. Does she understand that little trees grow into monsters eventually? You sound like another restful day is in order. Stay warm mate xxxx

We did the usual GP visit for scripts and referrals, followed by a grocery shop. Well, we ended up doing a bit bigger shop than planned, but food for a couple of weeks at least, will save us from going out again for a while. I had an old fart come up to my trolley and say "I'm glad that I am not paying for your trolley" I looked at his trolley and all I could see was junk food. Obviously, I said nothing back, but our fresh veg and meats will do us more good than his crappy stuff, especially the fried, crumbed packets from the freezer. I know that it may be all that he knows to cook, but a bit of help is available if he only asks for it.

After doing the unpacking ands putting away, I declared rest time. That's it for another day.

Stay warm and safe,
night all xxx
Deborah
