Temu? Tell me more!!

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Temu? Tell me more!!

Post by BruceS »

OK I've been a bit (lot?) preoccupied lately but my email account & FBK groups are getting hammered with all these cheap items from Temu.
Who are they & where have they come from?
I presume they have bought out another company?
Any advice about them please?
Have you bought from them & what was your experience like?
Products as described? Any catches to watch out for?

A mixed bag, but very happy so far. Their delivery time is better than within Aust delivery. The only one the caught me was https://www.temu.com/goods.html?_bg_fs= ... e_sn=10045 and I didn't read it properly and expected this https://www.temu.com/au/funny-rooster-1 ... Bm1ogBGiBm but just got the stickers .... so what, it was only $3 or so, who cares. I bought a 12v and 24v diesel transfer pump for transfering fuel from the main tank to the diesel heater tank, https://www.temu.com/goods.html?_bg_fs= ... e_sn=10045 where else could you buy that for under $15.50 on a special buy delivered in 3 days from ordering it, or these https://www.temu.com/goods.html?_bg_fs= ... e_sn=10045 arrived in the same bag, $25 because they were on one of those 5 hr special price deals ...... you can't even buy a single halogen bulb for that money.
I've only ever bought cheap things, like this hail dent puller kit https://www.temu.com/goods.html?_bg_fs= ... e_sn=10045 for $12.80, or this extension for the diesel heater exhaust for $9.50 on a special sale thing, the solid state pump for the truck $16.50, they wanted $125 at Repco ......

I have got some things from Temu and so far rather happy, the delivery time is good, apparently there are different "sellers" that sell from Temu so I guess some are good some are crap.

Bruce,
We've bought a couple of items from Temu. As mentioned, they're a Chinese version of Amazon, selling lots of stuff dirt cheap.
One major purchase was a new dashcam with forward & rear-facing cameras. Jaycar wanted $200+ for them. Temu's price: $54.00!
Good quality, and it came with an SD card, something which was an extra cost from Jaycar.
Just purchased a new purse/wallet thingy for SWMBO, $13.00 for real leather. Similar item in Albury baggage shop was $250.00.

Nuff sed. :P
Regards & God bless,
Ray

Bruce,
I too have been sucked into the cheap stuff. My warning is that, you need to read all the specs as thoroughly as you can, and often you will get what you paid for.
I can get clothes from Noni B on sale online at $10 per top and they are all made in China. I can also get clothes from Temu for similar prices, and they all come from China. Mostly, if you read their sizing charts for each item, you won't have a problem. Then check what fabric is used in the garments, because a lot are 100% polyester and not always great in our climate.
Do some experimental shops and enjoy the goods.
