Happy anniversary Joy and Ray. Wishing you many more.

Re: Good morning daily
Terry,
If you’re travelling home via Mt Bruno, the logical route would be to come to Rutherglen via the Hume Highway through Albury, taking the Murray Valley Highway exit just south of town (it’s clearly signposted, a couple of km after you pass under the out-of-order speed check gantry).
That way, you’ll pass Warrabilla Winery on your way into Rutherglen, 20km before town… saves you doubling back.
Then when leaving us, you head for Wangaratta en route to Mt Bruno.
ps. I thoroughly recommend their Parola’s Limited Release Durif… if there’s any left!

Apparently it will require an early start from Jugiong ..... so those plans may vary

Re: Good morning daily
Yeah, but over 3 days, roughly 400kms from Jugiong to Ray & Joy's place via Mt Bruno and Warrabilla, then a bit under 400km each day from Rutherglen home, as long as we don't buy too many bottles on the first Warrabilla trip and drink them all with Ray & Joy, I think we might be able to do the 400kms each day after that ..... if we are feeling a bit worse for wear after the evening at Rutherglen, then the second trip to Warrabilla will probably either be cancelled (unlikely) or the number of bottles purchased reduced .... (not really likely either) I lost some 20 bottles from this winery in the fire, so let's call it restockingNewcastle George wrote: ↑Wed Jul 10, 2024 5:20 pmA total of 1165km.T1 Terry wrote: ↑Wed Jul 10, 2024 4:38 pmMargaret suggested we head straight to Mt Bruno from Jugiong, pick up the car, then to Rutherglen via Warrabilla, then home via the Warrabilla to restock, on to Swan Hill, Ouyen and home ...... even Google maps had problems with that one

You might note the wisdom involved in loading the car up before the first tastings at Warrabilla, safety first and all that ..... plus I'll have to remove the tailshaft, chances of that happening after a wine tasting is limited, even less likely after the evening sampling a few bottles at Ray & Joy's place, so it is scheduled in for pre wine tasting

No body would ever accuse you of being "normal" Dottie

Morning everyone.
As said off to the big smoke shopping today... I normally ketchup with a mate, but he unfortunately had to go to NSW for a funeral... bugga...
Done as least as I could yesterday, just normal stuff, I pulled up the pumpkin vine, three pumpkin's now in storage, I'm slowly closing the veg patch down...I will be changing how I grow the veggies.
Good picture Lesley, we never camped there, we last stayed at the "aerodrome", and we took our time crossing the Barkley...one week.
Not much else happening.
Any one heard from Keith ?
Keep safe.
Bernie.

Re: Good morning daily
Good morning from a very chilly Camooweal Billabong. BOM says 5.6 feels like 2.4 and the diesel heater is going for the first time in many weeks.
It really is beautiful here Bernie if you ever get up this way again. Just a couple of kms from town, not that there is much to it but severo, pub, dump points and water so what more do you need?
Heading to the WW11 Historical Rest Area about 50kms north west of Mt Isa today then a quick run into the Isa for gas and groceries on Friday and then maybe to the old Mary Kathleen township for a night or two.
Might have to get the Ugg boots out again.

Re: Good morning daily
Morning from a very chilly/cold Canberra showground. Off to see the daughter soon, then to Jugiong to over night, then the multi task day Friday ending at Ray & Joy's place.
After doing a sort of fix for the dash lights, now the dashlights and instruments are out .... an intermittent serious short somewhere I'm guessing, that will probably have to wait till we get home to track down
