"tanks" here---
Not good morning but hello all on the Forum.
The news is that my very good friend Doone has been admitted to the Murdock Hospital for a liver biopsy and is waiting for the results and the Oncologist to visit her with the report and results.
She is in considerable pain from her neck to her lower abdomen and is also waiting for pain medication.
The last discussion was to commence with radiotherapy and see how that goes.
She has had to cancel her overseas trip to Europe, and her gym membership. I told her to maintain her daily newspaper delivery so that she could do the Word Find puzzle. I offered her some Meals-on-Wheels dinners if she wanted a change from hospital food.
On the serious side:- several Forum members will know Doone, possibly having met with her at my previous house in Dysart Qld. I will keep posting updates to the forum on her condition as time progresses.
Keith.

Re: Good morning daily
I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

Re: Good morning daily
Right on, T1!
No-one could accuse Dottie of being “normal”!

BTW, a correction to my suggested route to Rutherglen & Warrabilla:
After consultation with my Navigator-in-Chief (SWMBO) I realised that I seem to have confused my East and West.
Warrabilla is 20km WEST of Rutherglen, not East.
So please ignore my post on your route and follow Margaret’s navigation.

Re: Good morning daily
I hope her navigating improves with a nights sleep, seems mulled wine and navigating don't go well together, makes squeezing a 10mtr motorhome with Gypsy trailer and Prius in tow, kinda "interesting" down streets never designed for cars parked either side and heavy vehicles to use the same space, all at night .... add a few "I'm not sure if we are going the right way" and turn here ..... just as you pass the corner ..... only to discover that wasn't the turn anyway
Might be an early-ish start so I can track down the electrical issues, before we start the epic leg of the journey ... depend how cold it is in the morning

Nothing like navigating in the dark. Once you get off the main roads it usually always goes pear shaped, regardless of what the navigator has, or hasn't, had to drink.
My navigator doesn't drink, but we still have navigation issues.

Re: Good morning daily
It's the delay between focusing, realisation and vocalisation that makes it interesting ..... thankfully I also have Google maps on my phone and the nice lady talks directly into my ears ...... so the 10 to 15 sec delay is always amusingsupersparky wrote: ↑Thu Jul 11, 2024 9:08 pm Nothing like navigating in the dark. Later than normal good morning.
That gremlin was stopping me
Not much to talk about...went to Maryborough for Carol's last physio appointment.
Then to Bunnings...needed a new lock for the house back door...plus two 300x300 pavers to finish a project Carol has...plus she needed a new hose reel thingy, already boulted on to the wall . I had to borrow next doors hammer drill...he's a good bloke
I didn't have the correct drill bit
Today's project is to cut up the spar...it don't work any more...so it will go to the tip.
All for now.
Keep safe.
Bernie.
