Not sure if it's good morning or good evening, been raining here all day very heavily, luckily I'm on the other side of the mountain from the ferocious low hitting the east coast and dumping heaps of water on us, but not the big winds they are getting on the other side I'm told.
As for the trump shooting, it was very close hitting him in the ear sadly it missed his head and the blokes dead for nothing but boosting trumps ego. Now he'll probably claim he's an incapacitated war veteran and has served his country so should get a purple heart.
Sad about the innocents killed and injured, they haven't said it was the assassin that shot them, security or some of the audience. But did see on one news site a photo of a few ordinary people (if you could class any yank as ordinary) lying down with guns drawn pointing them randomly, so he wasn't the only one armed.
Be interesting to see what happens next, how trump reacts and his supporters. But we shouldn't worry they will take care of it especially as some states are rolling out vending machines selling ammunition and you can choose from a number of calibres and styles.
Don't know about anyone else, but seems the world is really going crazy pretty fast and the good old gun loving god worshipping USA is leading the pack into la la land. Been watching a daily youtube report called the Ukraine war map and they give loses on both side for the day, its hosted by a female AI. Russia is losing over 1000 troops a day and leaving wounded on the battle field. Russia has also classed those killed or missing ( injured) as deserters, so they don't have to pay their families any money, not even the soldiers wages. The ratio of equipment loses per day is around ukraine 1 to russia1.8, Ukraine is mostly losing small vehicles, whilst russia tanks, artillery, drones air defence systems and load of motorbikes and golf carts. They are using motorbikes in assaults on Ukraine positions and golf carts to transfer ammunition and troops to the front. F16s are arriving which may change the situation, because the russians aren't advancing and the Ukrainians aren't advancing.
On the home front, we played a gig friday night and a wedding last night. Nothing like playing at a wedding, you play a few songs, they eat drink, have all their speeches, the newly weds leave and everyone gets more drunk and we end up playing about a couple of hours all up. Then the venue throws everyone out and we go home. Some wedding receptions are hilarious, some really nice and some a war. You see some very interesting interactions, because people don't seem to recognise the band has eyes, so they think they are immune from being sprung.
